not at all, rabbits are a pest where i live.if you think it makes me powerful and strong well than thanks, but this pest is no different to you spraying or killing a fly or spider in your home...does that make you powerful and strong...?just cause their fluffy doesnt mean their not a pest...
We won't agree on this. I don't live in your world, and you don't live in mine. From the comments you write, I sense that you use the excuse that they are just pests to enjoy your hobby of killing animals. Sure, I kill animals when I have to, flies, spiders, hell, I have even run over a few rabbits in my time. Rabbit or me crashing my car and injuring me and occupants? No contest eh? What I don't like with your stuff is the obvious pleasure you get from the killing.
well i dont really get pleasure from killing animals,i have been asked many times to cull goats/roo's/camels but its not for me,i dont get pleasure from boasting about killing 80 animals or shooting 30 roo's in a night, but when i hunt something like a fox, which is a very cunning animal or i sneak up on a rabbit warren,or pull off a shot from 400yards then yes im happy, and i get enjoyment from it.i get enjoyment from the hunt and the skill that goes into it.not the blood shed of the animals.peace
hey mate,i have both the .223 and the .204,i reload midway with 55grain projectiles for the .223 and 40grain for the .204. my .223 is doing 1000fps less than my .204 the little .204 is great for small game ie rabbits, foxes and head shooting roos.the .223 is a little heavier and with that weight you can take on larger game ie goats, roos dogs etc.i got both because i love the flat/long shooting of the .204 as long as their is no wind, but the .223 is great for heavier game and windy conditions.
hey guys u guys have to be in the top 5 shooters in aus just wanted to know were this was and do you any good spots to shoot rabits in vic? thanks good shooting
thanks shoots22,i have been building a house for the last 6months so we havnt got any new footage,i will be adding some new footage soon so keep posted, this footage was taken on some farmers land near nuriootpa SA dont know too much about vic but you guys do have some awesome forests over there.catch ya latter.
Great shootin guys! Couldn't get it much more accurate! What do you rekon to the .204? I was looking at them, im quite a keen rifle shooter and I was looking for something bigger than a .22 but not huge haha.
@gu29oqb If you're still looking.....204 is a great calibre if you don't care too much about skins or meat, they destroy rabbits, and leave big holes in foxes. You'll want to reload or be cashed up for ammo though. If you want to skin foxes and eat bunnies the little .17 hmr is a good option too for some extra range, but go a varmint barrel if you can.
could you answer a question?is there much difference between a .223 and a .243? i know .223 is the civilian version of the 5.56 round used by nato but don't know much about the .243.
yea ok,the 223 shoots a average pill size of 55grain,the 243 is a necked down 308 round, shooting a average pill size of 85grain,doing roughly the same speed of the 223,you could say that the 243 has double the hitting power of the 223 round,a big difference between the two.hope this helped.cammo
the .204 is a flater shooting rifle,4000fps 40g reloads dead on at 200yards and at 350yards only 5inch over, the .223 has more weight behind it and i would use it for goats and roos but the 204 is more for varmint pests such as rabbits/foxes etc,the .204 is not good in the wind.when its still tho the 204 is in a league of its own its one hell of a calibre.cheers for the post
Nice job! Boy's Foxes are Feral here in Australia AirGunKiller94 we shoot'em all year round Hey! try using yeh! pea rifle on the Red Dogs and call'em right up... lol happy hunting O' and it's cheaper on the pocket and much, much more Fun

Yes, very macho behaviour. Big men with guns killing little fluffy bunny rabbits. Make ya feel powerful and strong doing that, does it?

good shooting,my bro shoots foxes on my dads farm with his .223,it tends to make a bit of a mess of rabbits though.the fox shot at the end was sweet.
zatoichi12345 2 years ago
yea the .223 has some awesome hitting power!thanks for the comment
cammo1986 2 years ago
THAT is fast!
I'm still deciding whether to get a .204, .223 or 22-250 for fox and maybe small deer here in England.
.204 won't be deer legal, whereas the others are.
I'll be shooting vermin and foxes mainly, though.
Carry on the good work!! ;-)
100021861 2 years ago
i would go for the .223 the 22-250 is very loud and the 204 wouldnt have the guts to bring down a deer.cheers for the comment

The best federal 55grain .223 hits with 781 foot-pounds at 200 yards.
A 39grain 204 will hit with 784 foot pounds at 200 yards. The .204 is crazy!
