If I get Dark Game Studio, how would it run the physics demos if it doesn't come with Dark Physics? Does DarkBasic Pro just come with basic physics?

The screen saver is standalone and you can get it from the NVIDIA web site. The screen saver was made with DBPro + Dark Physics, so if you want to do something similar you would need both of these tools.

You can download it from the DarkGDK website. The source code to make your own, and the power pack details are listed there.

You'll just need physics drivers is all.

Haha, just kidding. Doesn't your pc run hot during this though? Also, do you need JUST a physx capable card or do you need to buy the actual seperate PhysX card?

I suppose it depends on how well your machine is cooled. Poor airflow makes for hot machines.

@foist101 You don't need a PhysX card, your CPU will do. However, it will be smoother and faster with a PhysX capable card (NVIdia card)

you need a nvidia video card capable of running PhysX and you also need the latest drivers for it!!!

Impressive. I've done a huge 3D model and wrote some code to fly around and through it, and that's about it. Decided Dark Basic was not the way to go, but you can get fast results with it. Sort of.

Holy crap! That's amazing! This makes me want to get back into dark basic pro! But I can't figure out how to use it. D: Rvanner, do you think you can point me out to a good place to start if I want to make games with dark basic pro. I do have a reasonable amount of experience with game design using the source engine and 3d Game Studio, but nothing like Dark Basic.

Yes, that's real time on my PC with one 8800 card. Note that the screen grabber (Fraps) was slowing it down a bit too.
