Yep, I agree with treefrog1956, way too fast and it loses something because of the speed and a couple of missed beats/timings too....slow down man and feel the swing you're not running for a train. Oscar Peterson suffered the same problem in that his dazzling technique got in the way of the music...that's why Bill Evans was by far the superior player! Also, lots of people make the same mistake when playing Ragtime!!
Amazing arrangement you inspired me to make my own but its no where is good but i have only been playing for 3 years you have inspired me so thank you
just so you know as I can see your style is heavily influenced by him, Martin Taylor has opend an online academy, check it out, you get to talk to the man himself!
Absolutely amazing! ..... unfortunately you have just made me give up the guitar ... I have just seen the 'Gold Standard' and I've never got past the 'Rusty Iron' stage in all the years I've been playing!
Truly exceptional! I know it's a very subtle thing and I enjoy the entire piece, but I LOVE the dynamics in the first 32 or so seconds right before the single note lines... VERY pleasing to this ear!
Really enjoying your CD too! I wish you all the best!
Great job! The Martin Taylor influence in the arrangement is clear. What a very novel and fresh idea to whistle up a visit to Mayberry at the :40 mark with the Griffith show lick. Now where'd I leave that fishin' pole Andy?
Shut up about Oscar Peterson. I haven't seen a bigger display of ignorance in all my life.
