Do you usually use this technique to remove glitter nailpolish?? Because I've tried everything with glitter but it is always a really big mess!! Do you have a technique for that?? I'm a little bit desperate...
@oOTeddyCatOo yes.....i do all of the time...the key is to let it sit on the top of the nail and loosen the glitter up.....then 'rock it' like the video but dont wipe it just rock and rock and then pull hard...downward....it should work really well..it might take 2 or 3 times but you will learn to do it all at once with ONE time. whoosh.
I really like that dispenser, I wish I had one, if you see my technique, I end up with the color all over my fingers, so if I am taking off green polish all the tips of my fingers would be green.
thanks so much for showing this...i thought i was being clever by soaking 5 little cotton balls and letting them sit on the nails for a few seconds then twisting the color off. still would get some on the cuticles....thanks for sharing your techniques and knowledge...there's a lot of it!! how many pads do you use to remove polish from a set of nails? and the stroke of genius about making the orange wood qtip cuticle - cleaner-upper! excellent! i'll stick to the qtips for my ears tho! hugs!!
Very helpful! Thanks for the tip. Also since you don't wear arcylic nails and your nails seem shorter, are you still able to do some of your more elaborate designs on them?
i've been watching your videos for a couple of days and i was wondering: how long does your nailart last? and how lond does it take you to put it on?? thanks robin!
@MsDarkchain it depends on the design. between 10 minutes and 1 hour for a portrait. they last between 2, 3 and even 4 weeks before they are repolished...that doesnt include blow outs and accidents etc. :)
@robinmosesnailart wow!! so let me get this straight... you make an acrylic base for your nail art and then paint all over it both with simple nail polish or acrylic paint... so you use the creamy acrylic paste as a base and for nothing else? thanks you're so sweet!
@MsDarkchain wow...this is confusing....but yes i think! hahah! i put acrylic on the nail.....it is a hard glass coating. let that dry....buff it and then the nail is extended. THEN, i polish. then i use acrylic paint...(not acrylic for nails...acrylic paint for crafts) as a way to decorate the polish...then i topcoat all of it with a clear varnish top coat :)
@robinmosesnailart this makes a lot of sense! i myself have tried this method but i used uv gel instead as a ''base'' and then decorated it with polish and it lasted a lot too! but i'm not as goob as you are, of course!
Hi Robin.. What if you have arcrylic on your nails..Like me I do and when I take mine off have to use the non acetone remover....does this method work the same? And also...what is best way to remove all the glitter off when you do have arcylic nails on? Thanks babe.
@KrissD74 all the same. same way always...you can use non acetone or acetone....if you keep the cotton round low on the finger, it never touches your nail and if it does, it evaporates before it ruins your nails. xoxo
@robinmosesnailart Thanks Robin..but I have arcylic on my nails and I am the one taking it off of me...polish that is off my arcylic ..not off someone else...So it needs to touch my nails to take off the polish lol And then on the glitter off of arcylic nails....same technique ..? but can't use the acetone right?
I like that. I use the 2x2 gause and it gets the glitter of really fast. The only problem I have is of the acetone is on my skin i e fingertips to much my skin peels :( Do you know if I can put a thin layer of like vaseline on my hands would it have a negative reaction to the acetone???? Thank you for continously sharing your knowledge and talent with all us nail addicts
@laurakaye871 you are so welcome. no i do not..i have no reaction to acetone....my only advice would be to wear surgical gloves :) some of my coworkers did that..i break out from the gloves. lololol
im so going to try this cuz i have acrylic nails n when i take out sumbody elses nail polish it kinda rubs off on me n take a little bit of my polish too ;p
@MizzJay31 you are so welcome. this way stops that from happening..just keep the cotton round down low on the finger....the lower the better, the girls i have worked with who wear the longest nails fold the rounds into 3's. you can get about 3-4 nails done with 1 round. cotton in a box has too much loose hairs. rounds have little to no hair and you PULL so no hairy aftermath. good luck!
@keanapalmtree lol....kiana, pass this around everywhere you can and show this better way!!!!!! :D:D:D i did get a lot of requests for this :) i am very happy to show you!!!!! XOXOXOXO
Hey, that's how I do it, but I use acetone free remover. Even enriched with oils, because I have acrylic nails. Especially leaving the cotton on for a while helps it remove mess free.
That distributer thing seems great. In my country they changed all the bottles for nail polish removal to where the top thing has a really wide opening.. which sucks. What kinds of stores would sell those distributers? And is that special material because I'd think plastic would dissolve or something.
@KiaraMarissa What I have done in the past, is just take the tiny hole stopper (het plugje met gaatje in het grotere gat) and place it on a bottle with the same size opening, if they'd have a huge opening. However, recently I'f switched to Flormar nailpolish remover. Don't know if they sell it somewhere near you. It's dead cheap as well!
@enjoydotcom Huh are you Dutch too? Unfortunately I only kept one bottle with the hole stopper with a small hole, and that one doesn't find in the hole of my new remover. Maybe I'll try to find flormar nail polish remover. Would you say they'd sell it at regular drug stores? Or more like cosmetic stores?

I use UV top coat on my nails. Would that take it off? Usually I spend such a long time either filing or gently drilling the old design off.
netfullofshells 1 month ago
@netfullofshells hi! i use a uv but it isnt a gel. the gel is harder to take off..i just use a uv cure topcoat by pro finish CND :D

@KiaraMarissa Yup Yup, Dutch too :D. I have changed the country in my channel because I got sick and tired of seeing GTST on my front page every day.
I get mine for a kiosk in a mall. Haven't seen it somewhere else. Oh, damn, only sells in Heerlen (Limburg) the place were I get it. Sorry...
