Only reason he said he his driving sucks is so people would go "ah no you don't suck you drive well". The driving is clearly of a good quality, fishing for compliments wasn't really needed.

You don't "suck" at all! Your driving line was pot-on most of the way round!

I've just got into REAL sim racing on my PC, after coming from years of console racing in Gran Turismo and FORZA etc, and nothing...NOTHING comes anywhere near to a good PC sim!

The graphics aren't quite as good as the consoles for some reason, but the physics and general realism is light years ahead of ANY console you'll find. Especially if you race with a proper wheel/pedal setup.

Shift is far from better than Forza 3.. A summation of Shift : the cars are far from realistically stable, the tuning is just bad, the speed sensation is so-so-more arcade than realistic, opponents cars are jumpy in replays, graphics are mostly great (and I have them cranked), playing through becomes tedious and money is too abundant.. it's a game that WANTS to be a simulator and falls short to arcade with next to zero replayability. Do not compare shift to Forza. Makes you looks dumb.

You probably know this by now, but i found that taking the corner at 1:17 in third gear with a Porsche works the best. And i really hate these cars. Ferrari's are by far the best handling cars in this game.

if you dont know what youve got inside google belarc advisor and install and run will give you a complete system spec. as somebody said below good driving just keep ya throttle smooth. i was very tempted to get this game but ended up with race 07/ gtr evolution instead same developers and superb game

5200 is trash upgrade to 8800 4gb of ram thats what I use 5200 will have ps1 graphics 8800 ps3 graphics

Unfortunately my game keeps crashing after 15-20 mins playing. Vid card GeForce7600, PC CPU3000 with 1GB RAM.

All other games run smoothly and without problems, except GTR2.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get help? Atari never reply to my e-mails.

I've downloaded any available patches but still got problem.

Any help is appreciated. I've started hating Atari for their lack of support.

To get the most out of this game, you WILL need a steering wheel. Believe me, keyboard steering in this game is a real pain to use.

Or you can drive with my alternative method, mouse steering. Yes I know, it sounds stupid but, with practise you can drive like you have a steering wheel. :D

Im guessing this was a porsche 911,the noses on these cars tuck very well but having their engines in their asses makes that rear end swing like a pendulum and oversteer can be uhhhhhm rather sudden,otherwise excellent driving.

yes, however Simbin (the creator of GTR 2) is coming out with Race Pro for the xbox 360 in early 2009

Didn't drive that track that much, maybe 20-30 laps before I recorded, can't really remember. I used the Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel.

And full simulation of course, the only way to play these games :)
