  • Omg and one of them was our neighbor in Golden Valley

  • wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • one of many versions that i.ve heard or not.i just got a roulette promo 45 of this for 50 cents today at a flea market.

  • Loved The Stillroven (also South 40) but I prefer the Leaves version.

  • A very solid version of "Hey Joe," I must say. It's up there with the Hazards' version.

  • Always preferred this rendition over all others!!

  • Hey Joe was as high as No.3 on WDGY in Minneapolis June 24 1967 and was in the top 20 for 2 months. I owned the 45 on the Falcon Label and wore it out. Sounds like like this was from the original 45 also. You could here those wonderful scratches.

  • @zimmyfromhibbing indeed this one's drawn from the original 45, and i love it

  • @zimmyfromhibbing Bill Deal was a DJ I believe at WDGY. Competing withy WDGY was KDWB which was known as the baldy station and WDGY was known as the greaser station. I listened to both as KDWB was more country oriented and WDGY was more local oriented in song selections during the 60's 66/67/68...........

  • the greatest version of Hey Joe, even over Hendrix, which is the best 'slow' version

  • This version made the Top 20 at KLMS 1480am, Lincoln, NE. Do you have "Little Picture Playhouse"? Thanks for posting !!!
