  • she was wonderful

  • Brilliant. I only wish she would write a biography, and I'd really love it if Barbara Walters would look up some of the stars like this who are still alive and get them to talk one last time. She could teach a thing or two to the starlets of today.

  • a women with a voice much like hers is a journalist, annie jacobsen put alongside each other they would be hard to tell apart both deep and smoky

  • Scranton, PA native!

  • Lizabeth Scott was in so many great Film Noir classics, I wish there was a box set. I love watching her movies. She looks amazing here.

  • Humblingl seeing that grand old dame still kicking after all these years, those 40's film noirs don't seem so old after all.

  • That voice! That wonderful voice: Cinderella with a deep voice. Liz was/is the best.

  • Good grief, She is amazing!!!!!!

  • "they had faces then!" Stunning when young and stunning at this age. Great post!

  • What a wonderful, classy woman she is.

it's sad that she became prey to such nasty public scrutiny. Gossip is a terribly mean-spirited and senseless thing, and so avoidable.

  • @LENTICULARPLASTIC Well put!

  • Nice lady, sexy voice, but no Lauren Bacall!

I just finished watching "Dead Reckoning" and there was no magic there between Bogart and Scott.

Every time I looked at Scott I want to see Bacall. Every time I heard her voice I wanted to hear Bacall. ....and every time I was let down because Scott, to me, was just a stand-in for the real thing - Lauren Bacall! ..that's just me.

I'm sure Scott is the grandest of ladies and a fine person.

  • surearrow, you have got to be kidding me!!!!. You cant compare the genuine love of bogie and bacall to lizabeth scott. I have seen dead reckoning about 50 times. Its not about chemistry. It about filling the role for the movie. And lizabeth scott did it great in that movie. Bogie and bergman never evennew each other before and during filming of casablance. Lizabeth Scott in dead reckoning and even in martha ivers gives the best performance of any actress. And she was sexy as hell at 25.

  • That voice is still mesmerizing!!!

  • wonderful

  • I saw the film Lizabeth mentions with Stanwyck it was brill I am now a big fan Lizabeth A STAR.Forever

  • 9-29-2009. Feels like Heaven at 87. Happy Birthday, Lizabeth.

  • What an amazing interview! I had no idea there was any footage of her after her last major film ("Pulp" in the early 70's). I've always been a HUGE fan of hers. Very unique looks, voice & style. Truly one of a kind. I'm so happy to hear that even at her advanced age, she's still with us. I hope that she is well & happy these days. Thank you VERY much for sharing this delightful footage with us! :)

  • I was lucky enough to meet her in person here in LA a couple of years ago and chat for a bit. I was amazed at how great she looked and that she was so tiny!! One of my faves of the 40's. No one like her. "The Pout" is what she was called. She confirmed that for me. Long Live the ladies of Noir!!!!

  • I love her voice...

  • Loved her in "Dead Reckoning" with Bogart

  • Talk about aging well. Here's to you, Ms. Scott!

  • Ms. Noir herself. Still looking good in '87. And she's still with us!!

    Go, Liz!!!!

  • A great actress. I think her best part was in a noir film "Too Late for Tears".

  • Yes I she has lisp but is not so evident because she had and has still today an amazing voice, I still love her!

  • What as strange looking women..I haven't seen her for years and while she was strikingly beautiful when she was young, she is still very attractive in a strange kind of way...and what an unusual voice and accent...strange women!

  • Always loved her. Initially because she came from my hometown. She was and assume she still is beautiful. Wonderful that interest in her is still very much alive.

  • Great acress!

She looks outstanding in the Technicolor Film-Noir DESERT FURY (1947)!

  • I loved Lizabeth in "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers", I think it was called, with Kirk Douglas and Barbara Stanwyck. Great actress!

  • I agree!!

  • would you say she has a slight lisp?

  • I can't help noticing how she talks, even when just speaking off the cuff -- her measured diction, the way she thinks for a second before responding to a question. No "uhs," "mmmms" or "y'knows." An actress of the old school, and a genuinely classy lady.

  • Curious as to what she looks like now....

That was in 1987 when she was 65, she is 85 now....

  • My favorite actress!!! I just love to watch her movies.

  • Now, THAT is a voice! Thanks.

  • She's still beautiful!

  • Very curious, her beauty is forever. Thanks.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I wish there were more regarding Lizabeth Scott. She was just the best of the noir pictures.
