This song got me through some long, lonely nights during the early stages of a very rough (twin) pregnancy. I would wake up through the night, extremely nauseous and cramping, and while everyone else was asleep, Jesus and I walked "In the Garden". I'm 14 weeks along now and feeling a lot better, but I still listen to this every day (most days with a tear in my eye). God is good!

We would have the Blackwood Brothers, the Statesmen Quartets come and lead the singings, and lots of others too of course. Those were the days of innocence! No mics, no frills, no air conditioning; just a church full of people on a HOT summer day singing hymns of praise to our Savior! I LOVED IT! I really MISS those days!!! ♥

This was one of the last songs Mother and I listened to before she died in 2006. I had never heard it before, but she knew it and sang along. Mother loved gardening, so I had this played at her service. Now this is one of my favorite memories of Mother.....I miss her terribly, but know I'll see her again some day.

@jezrell44 Yes, but when you finally go and live with the lord and all his grace you'll have an eternity to come back and relive all em great moments. Relive the first time you fell in love, relive the time you have with your children. You can look back at all your trials and temptations and say "we did it Jesus I have conquered sin with you as my light".

When I was a kid back in Alabama, those backwoods country Baptist Churches used to have All Day Singings with "dinner on the grounds" (a huge outdoor potluck). We would have the Blackwood Brothers, the Statesmen Quartets come and lead the singings, and lots of others too of course. Those were the days of innocence! No mics, no frills, no air conditioning; just a church full of people on a HOT summer day singing hymns of praise to our Savior! I LOVED IT! I really MISS those days!!!

This was my mom's favorite hymnal. I had it played at her funeral. She has been gone 3 1/2 years and it feels like yesterday. She was my everything. This song brings peace to my heart. Thanks for posting.

What a great song and a great man. I think of my brother who was murdered 2 years ago and know he is with jesus. I picture them walking and talking along a field of flowing grain. Thank you Alan Jackson for a great CD

This was one of the last songs Mother and I listened to before she died in 2006. I had never heard it before, but she knew it and sang along. Mother loved gardening, so I had this played at her service. Now this is one of my favorite memories of Mother.....I miss her terribly, but know I'll see her again some day.

Man o man o man...this song reminds me of the days when I was a young, believing preacher's son in the Church of Christ...waiting on the Lord's Table and leading singing...so long ago...and I still love every word of it...if only I were still accepted in that church...for I still love the Lord with all my heart!

We sang this song in a beautiful garden in a park, on Easter, when I was a child. It was an early morning sunrise service. I think of that place on the coast in Oregon everytime I hear this song.

Alan Jackson can sing anything his Gospel CD is the best of Alan Jackson. His Mom asked him to do a Gospel album and he did it for her and Lord is it a
great one. Has all of the hymns from the older days which i seem to like the best. His voice is that of an Angel and he does God proud. God has touched me lately in many ways through lost loved ones and even though he is a very busy God he always has time for me. There's a saying once put on our church board
"God Answers Knee-Mail" Remember that.
