  • So here of somethings I found that you didn't include in this video. You didn't tell us to copy the same thing another 2 times and didn't make the trigger off set 600 for the third one and 750 for the 4th one.-_- THIS TOKE ME A LONG TIME TO ADJUST.

  • wtf when ur doing the dummy and u get rid of his normal abilities and replace them with the flammenschlag <------ whats that in the English version? also if its flame strike is it 1 or 2 i have tried both and cant get this to work, if u cant help me i suggest u dont make any more vids and get peoples hopes up

  • @blazeingblade456 You remove all effects of Thunderclap > add it to the Hero

    You balance all effects of Flamestrike and add it to the dummy

    Trigger: When Hero casts Thunderclap (Your Skill) Dummy casts Flamestrike.

    The Dummy order can only be used like: Flamestrike = Flamestrike... U can't use an other skill and rename it to Flamestrike, so you have to go with an original Flamestrike.

  • @Movinghead3 it's easy, go to Window->Brush List, idk exactly what brush list does but it reduces lag

  • @AnToNiSG9L The Brush list is the thingy in the bottom left corner it's pretty much the whole mpq as a Folder, so everytime you chosen something it has to find the right data in a folder... And this laggs pretty decent.

  • @Selensija i didn't ask what brush list was lol, i just saw on a tutorial on THW how to reduce delay and it explained there what brush list was but i really don't care since disabling that removes all the annoying lag

  • @Haunted2304 Because my Wc3 is german and I used World Editor Unlimited so the whole Setup is english and the whole object editor names are imported from your wc3.

    But i got some problems. When i use the spell first for me its a "click" spell so i need to click where i want to use it. and then ut come out just ice from me not the fire. But on the place i click it makes the spell flamestrike.. i did exactly like u and iv done it 3 times now and always the same. i also did use falme strike as spell and not thunder clap like u did. could u help me plz

  • 1.how can i increase the maximum charge of a item?

    when im buying 2 town portal, it takes two slots.

    2.and, why is that when im using an item, the skill of that item cools down but it doesnt show the cooldown effect of the skill, i mean the darking of the icon of the skill/item that has used a skill?

  • @simplengperson Increasing Items Stacks need to be triggered. For example if you pick up a bottle and it is a stack of 2 (check it in conditions) Stack the one item in your Slot to (Current Stacks + New Stacks)

    The Cooldown isn't shown if you are using Icons that normally have no Cooldown (I Think it was like this for me) So take any Skill and Item icons but no units.

  • @megabobi1 well the scaling value is not necessary^^ as long as you dont use a modell.

  • @Selensija i really cant copy the epicenter of sandking, when im trying to create 1 dummy after the 1st dummy created used thunder clap, it did't work. only 1 dummy was created in the whole trigger. elp pls..

    Gameplay Constants also concludes things like time or how much armor you gain through agility and so on

  • @simplengperson that's due to the neutral creeps killing. There is something in the gemplay constants that allows to give lvl from neutral creeps higher then 5, or you make units from other "players".

  • do you know how to make a skill that the hero's attributes(Strength,agility,in­telligence) has something to do with its damage.

    like for example, skill damage is 1.50x of hero's agility...

  • @simplengperson Unit - Cause (Casting unit) to damage (Target unit of ability being cast), dealing ((Real((Agility of (Casting unit) (Including bonuses)))) x 1.50) damage of attack type Magic and damage type Normal

    Just use the damage Triggier, use arithmetics, convert one of the arithmetics to REAL and use Hero - Attribute, and just add * and the factor you want to apply to your spell.

  • @simplengperson Yeah that´s correct, because the skill actually should deal no damage. If you have ever played maps with such skills, I bet you never saw a skill tooltip showing you the damage. That´s because all skills are based on such triggers. AOE Spells are triggered with [Unitgroup Pick unit in Range of Casting Unit 400] and dealing damage to thos picked units.

  • @Selensija ah, i see,. but i have another problem, when i choose to damage the units in the target point of ability being cast, my own hero who cast the skill was damaged too. how can i prevent my own units and my allies to be damaged by the trigger?

  • @simplengperson Oh yeah forgot that one. there is a Action Pick Units depending on conditions. These Conditions are Boolean Conditions and you use it with ((Picked Unit) is an enemy of Player Controller of the casting Unit). You can also use these Boolean to pretend, let´s say, undeads from your spell.

  • @Selensija but how about the skills like shockwave, breath of fire, carrion swarm, and other skills like those, how am i going to damage the enemy units that will be passed by the wave of these skills.? hope you get what i mean. you know, the are of effect of those skills is not circular but linear.

  • @simplengperson Well I don't know how others make them. But my guess:

    Frost Breath: Use advantage of the Debuff in this spell. So you can pick units in a radius around your Hero of the maximum range of the spell (if the spell has max 400 range, 450 would do it) AND do the Boolean compare (Picked Unit has Debuff "MySpell"

    A shockwave could be done by creating a invisible unit (a dummy) walking to the casting point and disappearing and dealing damage to unit that it passes ;P

  • @simplengperson Example: You want to cast a Flame Strike with your Dummy, add the spell with mana cost 0 and animation time 0. Also turn off the modell and turn off the "Shown on the minimap" as well as the taken unit limit. So no one will notice the dummy. (Oh yeah and invulnurable)^^

    -Create the Dummy

    -Add experiation Timer ~ (When should the unit die in seconds)

    -Order Last Created Unit to cast Flame Strike at Postion

    Take the Order (Unit to cast spell at point) FOR AOE spells,

  • @Selensija im sorry but, i cant find the order (Unit to cast spell at point) that you gave.. where can i find that command, i only know "issue order ....", and when i browse it, their are already default skills such as "Human Bloodmage - Flame Strike, Human Archmage - Blizzard..." i cant find the command that will allow me to order the dummy to use the skill i put to it. pls help...

  • @simplengperson Yeah these default skill will trigger your dummy spells 2. So if you changed a Blizzard use the Human Archmage - Blizzard trigger.

  • How do i upgrade abilites? like i have something that increases movement speed to 320 and the next level does it to 340 but i can't figure out how to make it switch from 320 to 340 when i upgrade the spell.

  • @TheOddestVideos if you wont mind, what is the leaks and MUI means?

  • @simplengperson MUI means that spells are able to castet from Multiplie Players at the same time, using variables makes it only able for single player (except you use Arrays).

    Leaks: Whenever you set variables on Area points, it creates a "save slot" and thos save slots are kept until you delete them via Jass. Thats a simple code to remove those slots. If you dont remove them, your map will start lagging because those points take a lot of memory in the end.

    Unit - Issue Order Targeting Unit

    Unit - Issue Order Targeting A Point

    Unit - Issued Order With No target

    The First one is for Spells like Stormbolt, Chainlightning... (target)

    The Second one is for Flamestrike, Blizzard... (aoe spells with a target)

    The Third one is for Thunderclap, Stomp... (Aoe Spells with no target)

    If you copy a Frostnova and past it and give to your unit u need the first order and take the Order Lich - Frost Nova f.e.

  • @Selensija does it mean that if i made a frostnova and edited it (f.e. i renamed it ice block) then i order the unit to Lich - Frost Nova, the unit will use the edited spell(ice block) that i gave to it or it will use the default Lich - frost nova?

  • @simplengperson Yeah, if it was a frost nova the Lich - Frost nova will trigger your own spell.

    im trying to make the skill of sandking, "epicenter",

    i created 1 dummy(it has a spell like thunder clap) at the caster's position, then order it "with no target" to "Human mountain king - Thunder clap"..but nothing happens.

    another thing, i add the command "wait 1 seconds" to redo the said actions but it didnt do it again

    what's the prob?

  • @simplengperson One of the most done problems, is the mana cost for the dummy spell, also you should remove any Casting Animation times from the dummy / spell. Check the Mana cost and the Order, is the order "last created unit" or "triggering unit"? You could make a picture of the trigger and send it to me or, paste it in here, or you can send me your map, if you still have the problem^^

  • @Selensija i successfully ordered the dummy to human mountain king - thunder clap, but what i did is first when the hero use epicenter skill, i created 1 dummy at the caster's position and ordered it thunder clap then add expiration time .50 secs. then i add the action "wait 1 seconds" then i repeat the actions (creat dummy, thunder clap,expiration time .50 seconds) but nothing happens. it seems that the 1st actions b4 the "wait 1secs" were only exucuted. whats the prob.?

  • i didnt understand u showed how to put the nova on to flame strike? or something...and u never included making it onto the paladin which i can do but to me it looks like u just showed how to edit flamestrike and put it onto a peasant

  • yes you put a nova on a pasant => you make pasant "invis" and then you make a trigger when your hero casts "NOVA" you create like 12 peasants every 1 sec. who cast the flame strike ;)

  • The Flamestrike ability that I changed is for the dummy like I said you have to take a bility like War Stomp change:

    Area of Effect - 0

    Targets Allowed - none

    Edit the tooltips like you want them and give THIS ability to your Hero this spell is also in the trigger.

    Unit starts effect of an ability.

    Condition: Ability being cast = Hero Ability (not the dummy spell)

    Sry that I cut this out thought most of can create those^^

  • I only have the german and the Unlimited Version (English) There are just the ability and units on german. The ability is Flame Strike and the dummy is ust a soldier ;)
