  • The Flight of the Bumblebees and its off spring The Green Hornet's theme. Awesome, most awesome.

  • Espectacular!! :-)

  • anyone know where i can get flight of the bumblebee - trumpet sheet music?

  • @retardnumberone does this song really require sheet music? Just run yer fingers wildly on the 3 valves dude

  • @DancingSpiderman yes it does require sheet music...

  • Fantastic!!! I guess only someone familiar with both songs can truly appreciate how great this arrangment is!

  • from this to the green hornet. Al Hirt is a f*****g genius

  • sry i ment watch the version of al hirt ....

and flight of the bumble bee from wynston marsalis ....

  • watch the version of wynston marsalis !! its much better...

  • that is NOT easy

  • you rock

  • Rafael Mendez did it

  • wtf? flight of the bumble bee is definitely slurred. yeah it will sound bad if your fingers are sluggish, but that's where the difficulty in flight of the bumblebee lies.

  • anyone who plays an instrument knows how hard a fast double or even a triple tounging is flight of the bumblebee is one of the greatest test of tounging there is anyone who is able to play it receives props from me

  • 43 yr's playing this tune and only played it good a hand full of times! This tune is CHALLENGING each and every time it is played. Awesome... Thank for sharing 5 STARS***** for "Flight of the Bumblebee"

  • you're not suppose to tongue flight of the bumblebee

  • Do you know how bad it sounds slurred?

  • this song is awesome

  • if only it existed in High Definition... those lip trills are amazing.

  • this video dosent do him justice. No offense at all to him but this dosent sound that good. wish this viseo was better quality.

  • i want to play that sooooo bad. i wish i could

  • and his face starts turning red...

  • Still amazing that anyone can do that

  • his tone is not that clear, or is it the vid

  • oh yea, he's tired. but amazing!

  • hes exhausted, but hes pretty good to

  • you should see:

Rafael Mendez- Flight of the Bumblebee & Mexican Hat Dance

I believe he is more amazing

  • Jose Feliciano plays it on the guitar even do he is blind and I think he even plays it faster! I admire that guy! He is amazing! Seriously!

  • Playing it on a guitar isn't as impressive. Chromatic scales on a guitar are super easy even played fast because they're just going up one fret at a time, while chromatic scales on a trumpet are almost like switching through a totally random sequence of fingerings for each note. And don't even get me started about the breathing challenge...

  • Trumpet is harder, it requires you to push all that air and still not run out to be able to play the entire time, and you don't need to see your hands to play guitar. Or any instrument for that matter. It is all muscle memory.

  • lol you dont need your hands to play guitar thats amazing?!?!?!?!?

  • He said you don't need to see your hands. Learn to read.

  • you.

  • Comment removed

  • That is completely irrelevant to this video

  • Very nice finger dexterity.

  • The video I recommended about Rafael Mendez even has more views! that is amazing!

  • he should be using a mute

  • He has my name :O

    Seriously .. :O

  • HE ROCKS

  • !!!

  • bad ass

  • atomjoo

  • jejeje, supongo que tocas mejor la trompeta que el

  • Thats Great!!!

    esta kon madre!!

kuando sea grande kiero ser komo el!!

  • Very good indeed, but Mendez is King of the Trumpet.

  • or Allen Vizzutti or Sergei Nakarikov or Wynton Marsalis or Louis Armstrong

  • lol so true ;)

  • Indeed so. He is tough to take down in a contest of comparison. His tone is better then a lot of the "Professionals" nowadays, and I've only heard of a recording in the black and white.

  • this is really great! if you wanna see equal as good playing. go watch rafael mendez, im gunna say rafael plays it a little better just cause ya know. hes a god.

  • im lovin the vibrato at the end

  • that is frickin sweet

  • Wow. Wow.

  • Not bad, really skilled, al hirt is better though

  • cazzo che meraviglia!!!

  • holy...crap...

  • for chiseim

    it is the sound cuality

listen to the guys voice at the end and

u can tell the quality sucks

  • cool!

  • Nice job...and to the critics. lets see you do better..

  • His playing is pretty good. I dunno if it is the sound quality but his articulation doesn't sound that clear. It sounds slurred or jus running thru the notes. He may be exhausted because it looks like a part of a long concert.

  • LOL! I've known Charlie for years, believe NOTHING about this man's playing is sloppy. He's a phenomenal player, and one hell of a nice guy.

  • he is good but he isnt as good as the person on my cd... idk know who he is but if i could finally get it up that would be cool.... the guy who plays the green hornet on my cd is better

  • It's probably Al Hirt.

  • He is amazing! And I get to perform with him!

  • one word: amazing!!

  • Absolutley amazing!!! this guy is incredible. His pitching on the upper register is perfect and his quality of tone, well what can i say? AMAZING!!!

  • compared to wynton marsalis and allen vizzutti his quality of tone is not that good. his upper register isnt anything compared to them either lol. still an amazing preformance

  • Playin with both Allen and Charlie on more than once I can tell you they're both world class musicians. I find it amusing that people find it necessary to compare apples and oranges. They're both very down to earth people, when the horn comes off the face is when it counts.

  • i think i just crapped my pants

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
