@nygiants2222 Haha yea.. well its summer here now and its the other way around, now the grizzlys parked most of the time and I ride the bike, which is a Suzuki drz 250, just incase you were wondering lol
The grizzlys top end is slow as shit since they are geared low, and their ground clearence is not the best in the industry, but they are the best for mudding.
Well, I think the 550 powerful and big enough, mine keeps up with 700s just fine. it comes with all the stuff and is the same size as the 700. it wont win in a drag race, but its got 558cc's and mine will do about 63-64mph. so not much difference. I would get a 550. there is not enough of a difference between them to pay another 2 grand.
@Carfreak1177 Have you had or heard of any problems with the FI? I am needin a new quad in the next year. I am into the sport quads, but need a utility for yard work and huntin. My mom used to have the 350 Bruin, and it ran like a beast. How's the 550 response and what not? I think this is what I'm goin for. I know of a few 700 FIs having problems lately. I'm hopin the the 550 doesn't have these issues.
@390galaxie, No problems what so ever with mine, I live up here in alaska nd now its about 5 degrees on the average. in this weather starts right up runs great, I really recommend it for anything haha, I use mine as a plow in the winter and a Mudding monster in the summer, it pulls my 750lbs. snowmachine trailer easy.
@390galaxie why would the 700fi have problems and the 550fi doesnt...there the exact same except for the cc's...i'd say get the 700 thats what im getting in a couple weeks
@xkillaz18x I don't really know. I just know my uncles one or two year old 700 Raptor LE is having its share of problems with the FI lately. I know that they are all the same FI system. But I know of a few people with 700 FI Raptors and Grizzlies that are having issues. So from that, I would tend to steer clear and stay with carb until the FI systems have been out for a while.
@390galaxie The EFI on ALL brands works quite well for the most part. The Grizzly is actually one of the better ones.
The problem is almost always from when they sit and the fuel goes bad.
The solution whether it has a carb or EFI is to run fuel stabilizer often, especially when the machine will be sitting more than a couple of weeks.
Add the stabilizer to the tank. Ride it to ensure it's mixed well AND that the fuel/stabilizer mix reaches the carb or injector. Then you won't have problems.
hey fuckfourstroke shut up asshole that atv is the best i just got mine bye the way its better than every atv that i have ridden even better then a mtf brute force asshole
my car is a cluch my motorcycle is a clutch I would like to drive a auto somethin and i have driven a clutch quad before and I dont like it. So you be a real man and drive a yamaha with a ultrmatic transmission.
No trust me I can handle real riding I've been riding since I was 4 I've had Suzuki quads, yamaha banchee, polaris trailblazer and now this, You cant get a clutch on one the big and 4x4 unless you get a honda or something, wich SUCKS.
@plow0www The 550/700 supposedly have several improvements over the 660. I don't recall all of them, but seems like the steering geometry is one improvement, the EPS option is another, and the Wide-Track lower front A-arms is yet another. Also, I think the swept back rear A-arms on the 550/700 is one more improvement, which puts the rear wheel center behind the rear ring and pinion housing center, giving less rear overhang. And fuel injection is another.
I had an '07 BF750. It was a learning experience to say the least. I bought it used with 27" Mud Lites, winch, and it had a big bore kit (I think 785cc). It had been sunk and needed a new belt and a few other minor things. Once I got the bugs worked out and got used to it, I began to like it some. But then it seized a rod bearing. Apparently there are overheating and lube issues with that motor that need fixed.
i bought a new 550 too, camo pattern.. i put some 29 inch outlaws on it and it turns them over better just about all brands that have 500cc or higher, its the exact same bike as the 700, except cc size and top speed.. low end torque, body size, everything is the exact same as the 700, which is why i went with the 550 for 2k less, i can always get it bored out to 700cc or more, hopefully getting dual exuast done then snorkel, dont need a lift bc it clears a 5 gallon bucket already..
i got the same one but mine is black matallic and its got special SS rims... check it out on my utube page, my username is "friedbullet99", tell me what you think of it, thanx!!
i have the same quad except in black, my user name is friedbullet99, i have a video of mine... 0-30 mph test and a walkaround, please watch it, thanx!!!!!!!! oh and tell me what you think of it, u have a nice one. Nice choice on a quad!!!
I prefer the 550 over the 700 just because i don't want the 700's power. do you know what i mean?

Nice bike! Does it have front and rear lockers?
Jflawless6t9 1 year ago
@Jflawless6t9 It has a selectable locker for the front limited slip differential.
The rear on all ATVs (with maybe a VERY RARE exception) has no differential at all; the rear wheels are ALWAYS locked together.
