They probably DRANK COW'S MILK at early age to get it in the first place! betacasein(dot)org/?p=type1-diabetes I had problems with gluten, but A1 beta casein (found in dairy foods) seems to be a common trigger for type 1 diabetes. A2 milk is sold at the grocery stores here in Oz now, and I've been sticking with A2 milk and am off soy. Have you tried a product blogged on glutenfreesoyfree(dot)wordpress(dot)com/2011/09/13/possible-solution-gluten-intolerance/ for his/her T1 DM?
