God is like America: at war with everything. God fought people over and over for a long time, then most of the animals, all plant life, and always the fallen angels. It kind of makes one think He's somewhat antisocial. I wonder if He'd be a nicer God if he got over His anger and ego issues.

All ignorance or darkness is of course "doomed" to vanish in the light of Truth. The way back to the Garden then is to destroy our belief system in good and evil. Not an easy task.

I think god would have to be above pairs of opposites like good and evil. Why? Because if god were good it wouldn't allow evil, and if it were evil it wouldn't allow good. So that would be a wash right there. They cancel each other out. Actually, neither could exist without the other, could they? Seems to me god would have no part in the world of duality. Which is real: god or the world of duality that we perceive?
That sounds a bit like a kind of Hindu take on things with the concept of Brahman dispassionate and above the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva who are a bit more characterful.

Your premise is false. If God is Infinite, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient (which it would have to be in order to be God) then in Reality there can be no lesser powers, no oppositional powers. The only real universal descriptor of god is that god "created" the universe. Either poofing it into existence 6000 years ago or being the causative agent of the big bang. Your question is interesting because it assumes the existence of God and the Devil. God has communicated with us through the Bible. Why would an omnipotent being go to all that trouble to communicate with us? Why would the Devil not do so? God wants you to believe in the existence of both He and the Devil. The Devil it would appear wants you to believe in the existence of neither, and the best means of doing so is to stay hidden. So, if your assumption is correct, then God is telling the truth.
for a start, if God is omnipotent then any finite act is, by definition, an infinitely miniscule effort on his part. Secondly, the idea that an omniscient being could WANT us to know of His existence and yet show less imagination and motivation in that department than even the most unimaginative human could muster is ridiculous.

On the issue of suffering, it's a long story, but Christians believe it's not what God wanted, but he has given us a route out, which He paid for us, by suffering on our behalf.

You failed to mention the story of Job, biblical proof that Yahweh is the evil one and Satan is the good one. God killed millions of people in the bible while Satan only killed 10, and only because God told him to as a test of Job's piety. However, considering how silly and incorrect the bible is on countless other subjects, I highly doubt this ever happened anyway.

If we look closely at Job for instance, God looked like he was goaded into putting Job thru hell. God made the rules. Job lost everything, and his health. Not once did Job curse god, but in the end, he asked why. God went off on him! For 53 verses after that, god verbally ground him into the dust. That was just pure evil!.
To all the Christians: Quoting Scripture means nothing to a non-believer. Reason: The bible cannot be absolutely proven to be the word of God... let alone the "inspired" word of God. Nothing about God's existence can be proven out of that book. Only a handful of historical events can be proven to have taken place, although the archaeology shows it to often be somewhat different form a literal Biblical interpretation... the rest of it is just silly, archaic dogma and nothing more.

All ignorance or darkness is of course "doomed" to vanish in the light of Truth. The way back to the Garden then is to destroy our belief system in good and evil. Not an easy task.

I think god would have to be above pairs of opposites like good and evil. Why? Because if god were good it wouldn't allow evil, and if it were evil it wouldn't allow good. So that would be a wash right there. They cancel each other out. Actually, neither could exist without the other, could they? Seems to me god would have no part in the world of duality. Your premise is false. If God is Infinite, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient (which it would have to be in order to be God) then in Reality there can be no lesser powers, no oppositional powers. There can be only one Identity, one Being. And, being One, it cannot be be evil; as Jesus explained, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." The good/evil world of appearances is a world of human concepts. God has nothing to do with it.

The only real universal descriptor of god is that god "created" the universe. Either poofing it into existence 6000 years ago or being the causative agent of the big bang. Now. WHY would God/Good ALLOW D'EVIL to exist???
Well, that's because, in his PERFECTION he CAN'T act on IMPULSE. If he did, that would make him Imperfect and therefore he would have to die, together with HIS universe.
So now we established that he can't act on impulse, but has to choose PERFECT way of acting to remove D'EVIL! A PERFECT way is not the FASTEST way.
Notice what would happen around if we all decided to act FASTEST, instead of SMARTEST? Everything would collapse in chaos!

Your question is interesting because it assumes the existence of God and the Devil. God has communicated with us through the Bible. Why would an omnipotent being go to all that trouble to communicate with us? Why would the Devil not do so? God wants you to believe in the existence of both He and the Devil. The Devil it would appear wants you to believe in the existence of neither, and the best means of doing so is to stay hidden. So, if your assumption is correct, then God is telling the truth.

for a start, if God is omnipotent then any finite act is, by definition, an infinitely miniscule effort on his part. On the issue of suffering, it's a long story, but Christians believe it's not what God wanted, but he has given us a route out, which He paid for us, by suffering on our behalf.

You failed to mention the story of Job, biblical proof that Yahweh is the evil one and Satan is the good one. God killed millions of people in the bible while Satan only killed 10, and only because God told him to as a test of Job's piety. However, considering how silly and incorrect the bible is on countless other subjects, I highly doubt this ever happened anyway.

What u say makes perfect sense. Regardless of what satan did, god was always in control. (Satan only existed in name, so god wouldn't show his hand).
If we look closely at Job for instance, God looked like he was goaded into putting Job thru hell. God made the rules. Job lost everything, and his health. Not once did Job curse god, but in the end, he asked why. God went off on him! For 53 verses after that, god verbally ground him into the dust. That was just pure evil!.

To all the Christians: Quoting Scripture means nothing to a non-believer. Reason: The bible cannot be absolutely proven to be the word of God... let alone the "inspired" word of God. Nothing about God's existence can be proven out of that book. Only a handful of historical events can be proven to have taken place, although the archaeology shows it to often be somewhat different form a literal Biblical interpretation... the rest of it is just silly, archaic dogma and nothing more.

Ifr we, as you do in your video, assume that God is the creator, then we must also assume that He created everything to be good. Why??? Because that is the default position of everything and then natural disasters, famine and diseases are applied. If God is the creator, then He invented food, laughter, humour, sex, love, happiness, friend/companionship etc. and then the evils of this world is applied by the lesser power.

Hey genius. Nowhere in the bible does it say that God cannot lie. God invented lying. Two. You're approach to this argument is so base. It's not about who's GOOD and EVIL. In EVERY confrontation BOTH sides vehemently condemn the other side as evil and wrong. If you had read the devils bible you'd know it's ninety% the same as the original. It just takes a drastically different viewpoint of things. Thus it comes down to two factions, one destined for victory, the other defeat. You pick.

The point in the video is that a proclamation of honesty can be made just as easily by a liar so any biblical claim isn't worth...

Nowhere in such a script is there anything that contradicts the omnipotency of God, indeed it acknowledges the absolute power of God, applying it is as a catalyst for Lucifer's hatred of god and reason humanity should hate him as well.

Could you please show me where I contend the omnipotence of God? I think the only thing I contended was your assertion that the bible cannot say 'x,y and z' otherwise it would not be consistent! My reply was that 'well the bible can say x,y and z because it IS inconsistent.

While you don't directly assert that God cannot lie yourself you reference the bible in several places in which such an assertion is made. However I contend your understanding of these passages or rather your perception of their meaning. ESPECIALLY if the book was written with the aid of God do you think he'd allow such a glaring flaw to go unedited?

Totally disagree.
1) God could be omnipotent and the bible could be an entirely human construct
2) God could be omnipotent and an habitual liar (which we both seem to agree on)
You ask would God allow glaring flaws? Yes, if it serves His purpose ofc he would.
One more thing, where I reference the bible asserting that God cannot lie that is simply to forestall a hundred Christians responding that.....

By asserting that God didn't have anything to do with writing the bible you're contradicting the entirety of Christianity, not just the polarity of it's beliefs.
If God is omnipotent then you only support that your point of view of the passages you referenced is probably flawed. Why would God allow the script that greatest supports his cause to contain information
