When in a stump the splitter travels less than 30ft. in a stump you would drill out a pilot hole and pound the splitter into the top of the stump. In group stumps do not blow apart like you see in the video. You may get some good shrapnel from an in ground, but usually you just split the wood up pretty good.
Absolutely, you should also check out version two of this video. I think next time we will be experimenting with things other than wood, like jello, ham, ice, and anything else you would like to see.

How far does that piece of steel go when you use it ? If this were being used for stump splitting how is it postioned then?
