now if you dismiss the word "complete" and take it all in a loose sense then yes there is a partial partition between fresh and salt water where they will slowly mix, the exact rate at which they mix depends on turbulence like tides and currents.

Fresh water and salt water DO mix however. IF they didn't, then the sea would have 2 layers, a primordial salt water, and a layer of fresh water covering it. But that's not the case. They may not mix immediately in areas of weak current, or inside sandbars, but mix they do. It is only the continuous addition of fresh water which allows a layer of it to sit anywhere.

@strangerlover11 To say that nature is eternal is no more or less stupid than saying god is eternal if all else was equal. However, things are not equal. We have no evidence of this "god", and what we're after is an explanation - that is - a reduction from the complex to the simple. Stating "God did it" is like saying the universe was made by an eternal universe factory and then proceed to insist that the factory doesn't need to be explained. It explains nothing more than nature being eternal.

By the way, it really is hilarious how you don't grasp what Qur'an 25:53 is talking about. It's describing the sky and the sea. Mohammed adopted Islam's creation myth from the Jews, who in turn got it from other Mesopotamian polytheists and what it is talking about is how creation proceeded by the "parting of the waters" and establishment of the firmament between them. The early muslims thought heaven was an ocean. That's why you'll also see Mohammed talk about the sun and the moon swimming.

@strangerlover11 In fact, there are even more moronic statements from Mohammed about this topic. Tabari I:236 for instance, where he claims the sun rises on its chariot, accompanied by 360 angels, but sometimes Allah wants to test the sun and the moon and shows them "a sign" whereby they tumble out of their chariots and "fall into the deep end of that ocean". He then goes on to explain that this is a total eclipse of the sun and how it amounts to a "misfortune for the sun".

Nothing caused the big bang because nothing came before it (there was no time) and therefore no god. All explanations of the laws of the universe work without the need for a god.
