They didn't mention the NES version? You know, when I originally played it, I thought it was a ripoff of Disney's Aladdin... NES games were hard as hell though. That's one thing I'm glad that got better with newer games. The improved graphics are nice too.

when you play the genesis version you dont feal like your playing prince of persia but the PC version the 360(ps3) and the mobile game prince of persia classic are awesome

There's not a single level that is entirely similar, while for the Genesis version, well, it keeps all of the elements of the levels from the PC version, adding more levels though.

Or at least that's what I've heard about the Genesis version.

i hate pop classic, the music in the pc version in the jaffar part is so epic, the scene is so tense, but the classic version sucks because the music was ''arabian style'' and the scene made me puke.

I do miss the original and it was such a time vampire, yet I do believe that it's rebirth is a good thing for the game. While it has been dumbed down a bit and given very stimulating graphics, it preserves the legacy and shows a new generation that a 2D game can still prove that it can entertain with the best of 'em!

I got the SNES version on an emulator and I have the demo for PoP Classic on XBLA. I think that the XBLA version has more fluid and responsive controls, but the SNES version seems to have a better start. It just throws you in the dungeon and says "FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF!" and I like that a lot more then the hints on every screen.

The xbox 360 version is one of the best remakes ever made (together with Bionic Commando Rearmed). Keeping faithfully to the original and preserving the original feeling but with a more polished and up to date graphic. This is how it should be done!!

I don't like bionic commando rearmed. I don't like the controls. But the music is AWESOME. I have yet to play this, but I'm sure I'll like it because I love the sands of time and I've like the original pop.

Awesome video. I loved the Mac version of this game way back in 1992 and I love the 2007 version on Xbox. I liked hearing how they subtly kept the original music even though they redid it. Those original sound effects bring back a lot of memories. Now let's see PoP2 on XBLA!
