I remember waiting for BATM to come out so I could hear the new guitar player that Ozzy had hired.

I was a big Randy fan.

Listening to Jake play it was clear to me ,although I wouldn't admit it then, that he was clearly the better player on a technical level. Randy is a great musician

Hell, Brian May is a technical genius but I don't he's as capable as say Doug Aldrich at some things. Do you have some mystical rating system for guitar players? This isn't a race to see who gets the best 1/4 mile run. It's about infleuence (and affluence), style, technique, and ability. That said, I still like Buck Dharma as much as Yngvie Malmsteen. So, it boils down to opinion.
