this looks really effective and i will probably use it. but my only problem is this... won't you run out of energy or something meaning that when you go back to chest after doing back, you'll probably be able to do like 6 reps instead of 8?
who said you can't train 2 big muscle groups on the same training day. It'll mean you won't have to train your legs again that week, therefore less time in the gym and more time to recover and grow. As long as you keep your workouts short and intense then it shouldn't matter.

@22sweetaz the thing is i did that .. for about a year and results on back are not that visible .. i did first chest training then back ... chest got riped but back...just a bit... dont do that mistake..:P big group of muscle+ lower its the best .. for exemple monday chest+biceps , wednesday back+tripces and saturday legs shoulder and abs :P its wrong if you do biceps+tripces same time.. or chest+back .. well everyone can do how they want but if you look at other ppl they do exacly as i say :)
I really really enjoy doing those push ups until I am no longer able to push up, then lower myself down until I cannot do that either. Thanks for the workout Jeff!
Also, the mountain climb/knee to opposing elbow in plank position are amazing!! XD
guys the only way to get muscles is to eat carbs and fat.. aswell dont leave them u need them a lot and and if ur worried about over training then rest 3 to 5 days if ur not doing this any ur not getting much results then just throw a another rest day then if u want u can go to the cutting phase where u eat less fat and carbs to get slightly less fat
Hey jeff im interested in buying athlean x program but I like the one that comes with the videos explaining the exercises. My question is, do the videos explain every single exercise in the program including the agility ones??
I'm having difficulties losing fat on my chests. Will doing cardio (usually 30mins running), working out on a daily basis, proper diet do the job? Do you think I'll be able to see any changes in 1-2 months?
hey jeff!! my name is amir and i have watched all of your videos and i think you do a fantastic job' you helped me alot and i look forward to get better with each and every video you post :) there is only one thing that annoy me... you don't give us any information about the resting time between workouts!! how much rest does the muscle need after a workout? think you should make a video about this subject because alot of us i think are geting in to over training

Hey Jeff... Im 18 years old.. and Im looking for supplement to recover my post workout and I went to your website and saw your supplement. its called the XLR8. I wonder if its safe for me to have it.. some said Im still kinda young for protein supplements. I hope your product is certified!
Hope all is well. great vids and thank u so much for sharing your knowledge. i highly appreciate it. i have a question about preworkout supplements such as 1mr, jack, etc etc. i was wondering if you yourself are taking any of the above mentioned. i also would like to know your thoughts about them. and if u can reccommend any. i have heard that a lot of the pre workout supplements have a lot of side effects such as a horrible crash and extreme emotional downsides like depression and anger.
These techniques are great for a certain type of training, hypertrophy mainly. And I would guess thats what most of your youtube clients are after because they want fat loss. But for strength training, real strength training, your sets ought to be so intense that you have no choice but to take at least a two minute rest between sets. I'm talking in the 3 rep range. It would work against you to burn yourself out before your next set, because you need every last drop of strength.
@spenc193 when he refers to strength, he means overall, practical body growth as opposed to doing isolated exercises. The title itself says BUILD MUSCLE FAST so obviously the techniques he's showing is for hypertrophy, not strength training.
Read the 4Hour Body by Tim Ferris and an article titled, "The Occum's Protocal," The gentlemen reccomended for quick lean mass gains to use 5/5 rep count with as heavy a weight as you can handle for 7 to 10 reps. So it's 5 seconds up/5 seconds down. Of course nutrition is a factor, but supposed strength gains as well as solid muscle can be noticed within 30 days.
Hi I have a question not sure if you alrady did a video on this or not but I'm a new subcrider but I just started doing interval training where I lift a weight for "x" amount of time like 30sec the rest 15sec I'll do this for 5 sets and I use light weight and was wondering if this is a good thing it has cut my work out time in more then half and I'm trying this for like a month but I will stop if this is not good at all please help
I like Jeff and some of his radical ideas, most the time....
While doing bicep curls and incorporating leg lunges, Jeff says "It may not be leg day, but why can't you train your legs a little bit?" Don't you want to rest your legs if it's not leg day??
That is the same mentality I used when I work out slow pace and good form. I've only been working out for a little over a year but I am stronger, fit, shaped than alot of these dudes at my gym who's been working out 3-5 years.
I have some pain in my left wrist since a month and in my left elbow since 2 months. The latter had started after losing in an arm wrestling match. What shud I do now? Elbow problem doesnt allow me to lift to capacity and wrist problem persists or sometimes even worsens after a weight training session. Shud I quit?
I have been using the intensity 40 minute work out for 3 years now 2 times a week. And I am in better looking shape the most guys in my gym that work out for long hours at least 4 times a week. I eat very healthy which incredibly helps and work my muscles antagonistically as Jeff is explaining here in the vid. That has been my secret and people don't believe me but if you are a busy person like me and would like to grow muscles fast. Do yoursel a favor and listen to what Jeff is saying here.
yo jeff, theres a thing which i read about the other day - where you do isolation work first to tire out the muscle (say lats for example), then do compound movements to finish it off. so you could do some one armed rows first then pull ups
I play Ice hockey any chance you'd be able to share some tips on developing some explosive leg power to help get off the mark quicker (I'm notoriously lacking in quick acceleration, I got the top speed, just takes too long to get there )
I've been incorporating explosive fast sets with the slow 1 down 3 up and some 3 down 3 up. I seem to get alot more muscle soreness when I do it. Is that good?
Jeff is great his advise has been so helpful for me. I have been working out for a while and was looking for something that I could do to enhance my workout and this is the ticket. His advise and tips has taken me to the next level that I was looking for. Thanks again Jeff.
I've been following your workouts with great results!!!! I'm going to purchase the whole system once I get the extra cash. I really appreciate these free vids:)
i use 1 second and then 5 second resistance with most exercises, just like you said previously in your muscle building video. You mentioned it again here, just different context but same purpose, I have seen huge results in 2 weeks from muscle density to mass and tone....all in one.
Cross fit is good, but save your money and get the athleanx program. It's way better buddy! I've completed the program/diet plan & totally transformed my body. Thanks JC!
How to get big and strong while burning fat?...... Eat a shit ton of protein, Sprint as fast as you can, lift heavy as fuck, sleep as much as possible.. Simple. Stop confusing yourself.
I'm SO CONFUSED. I'm a short SKINNY-FAT ECTOMORPH man and I can't get a straight answer as to the BEST workout to burn my Belly Fat and Man Boobs away AND NOT LOSE muscle, and hopefully Gain Muscle. @jarden69 Each one of those methods is used for different things. 5x5 is for strength and power while using heavier weights, the only time you should do one set is your one rep max, and a set of 7 for 10-12 reps is for creating a bigger (not stronger) muscle with lighter weights. All are required to get big, ripped, and strong.
Thanks! I have a problem though, I try my best to add on to the 25 push ups I normally do but I just can't push it to 35! My goal is to at least do 50 non stop but my body just doesn't cooperate. Any advice?

your tips helping me a lot i need you to do a favor for me i wanna now how i can make a balance between the size of my chest and my shoulder cause my chest bigger and i cant solve that problem
Jeff i have a question, since im doing the Athlean X program. And each week you post a new video. Do i add that with my workout like the upper body work outs it contains or replace it with your youtube work out?
I did p90x for a year.. and although I got very good results, I now realize how long I was working out and making a big deal out of it. With athlean x not only am I getting even better results and working out less, but I'm a hell of a lot more intelligent in my workouts for the reason jeff is showing above. Thanks again!
Jeff knows more about the correct way to work out than any other person Ive even seen or talked to. Ive been working out just over a year and picked up athlean x in June, since then all my friends want to go work out with me just because Ive made such huge gains in 4 months and they want to learn what I do. Honestly anyone who cant afford to invest such a small amount of money for a lifetime worth of workouts and muscle building tips, needs to not eat out for 5 days this next month and buy it.
I just got a gym membership but I can only go there 3 times a week (1h 30 a day) because of my studies... Outside the gym I cant find a way to train as I live on campus. Can I still build muscle fast?
@alativalmis Yes. Unless you are really advanced you shouldn't work-out more than 3 days a week anyway. (excluding cardio). Athlean-X program is basically like this: Mon: Work-out, Tue: Cardio, Wed: Work-out, Thu: cardio, Fri: Work-out.
Follow what JD says and you spend 30-40 min effectively working out 3 days a week, and you do running/cycling/jumprope or other cardio twice a week (and don't say 'you don't have time' for cardio on those other two days. You do. You can run around your house.)
Hey Jeff, how about sometime getting together a boxer´s routine or a rock climber routine. Those to sports, besides being favorites of mine, are also nowadays very popular among people between 25-35, to keep them healthy, and in great physical conditioning. The intensity tips were awesome!!!! Thanks a lot man!
Love your videos. Im currently working for a PT Company and studying to become a CPT. I decided to go with NASM for my cert. Do you have any suggestions on who offers the best knowledge in your opinion?

Hey Jeff, what about the core muscles? I mean the abs? Do you recommend training them with time over tension too or time critical is the best way?
Good video by the way.

Can I still build muscle fast?
alativalmis 5 months ago
@alativalmis if you work hard enough and eat properly all you need is 45 minutes a day, 3 times a week to gain muscle.

3X90mins/week is enough if your beginner/intermediate
nubbs 5 months ago
