@twicon try 422hp, how do you not know this, obviously you are online, and guess what, you can easily search for a kw to hp converter.......... gees, less than 30 secs to find it on google
And then ppl wanna blame America for polluting the air when we have the stricktest air standards... India and china pollute the most think they'll establish cap and tax? No cuz obama wants to control Americans power consumption... " check the whole gov series at your local dealah!" aussie accents are fun to do!
Man why does Australia get some badass vehicles people would drive here in the US?! They got the new el caminos, the gto and g8 before we got em. I know some r under different brand names like Holden, but they're just rebadged gm's... And they make their commercials in the US it looks like!
Simply put north american emission laws are a bitch and down under they really dont give a fuck what your cars spewing out.. like the factories in china lol
Sorry to disapoint you But in the fleash this Australian Ford Falcon looks nothing like the Australian Commodore/Pontiac. The Falcon is a bigger car and does not have those ugly oversized wheel arches. In my view if anything the Commodore over the years has taken styling features from the older Falcons.
You should realise that the Ford CEOs in the US were the ones to pass on the decision to fund Ford Australia with money to re-engineer the FG Falcon for Left Hand Drive to be sold in the US market. You couldn't just convert it to RHD off the bat because in this particular range, many of the engine and RHD instruments would have interfered in design.
What they should have done from the start was to design a car that was both right or left hand compatible from the factory. Not do an after market conversion which would be to expensive to produce.
No, it was actually Ford Australia, which got money from the federal and stte governments for LHD, but decided to use it for local production of the Focus.
Hi. This is the Australian Ford Falcon re-tuned and dressed up by Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV). The turbo 6 cylinder produces 533 NM of torgue and does 0 to 100km in 5.1 seconds in standard form. Not bad for a big family sedan that also Has the highest safety rateing of 5 stars.
I like the ford falcon better than the holden commodore because the there's less junk in the trunk. I find the holdens too ass heavy.

why isnt the falcon build in the us
javithemonkey 3 years ago
It really should be a World Car but silly head guys at Ford Australia did not have the hind sight to do anything other than Right Hand Drive.

why can't Ford send cars like this to the US??? This car looks sweet! Great Post!
clandestinesoldier 3 years ago
I personally think that it looks much better on the streets. The BIG sedans rule the road with the turbo 6 punching out huge horse power.

i doubt that very much.
when importing american cars such as F250's etc there exhaust emissions have to remapped to meet australian standards.

ah, that explains alot, we prob dont see them here in America cause they probably cant meet our emissions regulations.

According to Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth", Australia has stricter regs than the U.S.
