John wrote this song about Allen Klein, who died this July 4, 2009. He was credited with being one person who broke up the Beatles. John, George, and Ringo wanted Klein to manage the Apple Corps finances when everything was falling apart -- Paul was against it, and wanted to his father-in-law, Lee Eastman, to manage it. Paul ended up suing the Beatles, and John ended up seeing and realizing that Klein was a despicable crook.

@WiltatKansas - I don't think Paul wanted to monopolize the Beatles, and I'm pretty sure he knew he could never control John. The Beatles, after all, were John's band. But in this instance, Paul could see that Klein was a crook, whereas John, George and Ringo saw him as a redeemer/saviour of Apple and their fortunes. I credit Paul for seeing the wolf in sheeps clothing. That's one thing John was never good at.
