  • omg shadow-bowing to this kills my arm! hahaha i looove this song!! played it my freshman year of high school. good times =)

  • As commented below, yes, there is some clashing here but this is not all that bad for a youth symphony orchestra. Of course no youth symphony orchestra could possibly measure up to those from Venezuela.

  • @Joseph3044 World Youth Symphony Orchestra @ Interlochen?

  • @malikrox Thank you Malikrox for pointing out the WYSO. I will get back to you regarding whether it "measures up" to the Simon Bolivar Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. I'm on vacation -- give me a couple of weeks to do this.

  • this being faster means i get to write my review about it faster... i like it

  • It was fun watching this at the NAC right JE? :P

  • you have no idea XD

  • im learning to play this!!!!

  • Great piece but the performance not well and that Beethoven for god sake play he's work with determination and complete struggle cos playing seriously not enough for Beethoven

  • some parts of that piece sound like mozart

  • all in all, it's much too fast, you can' enjoy all the features, you just hear: BÄÄÄÄM good music, very good technique and perfe...oh it's almost over.

it's nice if the orchestra is good enough to play it fast, but this is definitly too much.

  • hm, this is no faster than most recordings i've heard... this may sound faster because it's not as clean as professional recordings though.

  • It may be a technical glitch but there is some harsh outoftunyness at 3:45 but it's still an impressive performance for a youth orchestra

  • yeah, some nasty clashing between the 1st and 2nd violins i think. I remember playing this piece in my youth orchstra, we tried it at about professional orchestra speed and we made a big mess out of it, so we played slightly slower and hey presto it sounded much more organised and in tune. Goes to show, its not always how many notes you can squeeze into 1 second, but rather the beauty and quality of each note comes first.

  • Charles Creighton is the man

  • O My God! there is an overture of Rossini that has the same music of this!!!!

  • What Overture?

  • william tell?

  • @zenophilius1 holy crap that was 2 years ago.
