  • สุดยอด คุณทำได้ .....

  • wow i have a lao khene i got from a concert musician i am not able yet to play it, it is so wonderful to be able to play european folk on it, congratulation.

  • very good!

  • Is the drone always there or is that what you're doing with the little finger on your left hand?

  • @eyeball226 yes,, im stopping the high D for a drone with my little finger, any note can be used as a drone depending on the tune.the high E is often stopped for tunes in E and A modal scales. regards

     Dan

  • @blowinbamboo wow, very interesting instrument, it's from laos? what introduced you to it? and how are the notes arranged? just really curious :)

  • @chansherly212 yea its a Lao instrument, also played in north east Thailand. I spent a few years in asia and started learning there. the notes are arranged on both sides, kinda hard to explain, but im gonna post a basic scale video when i get a chance,,, i like your music videos... keep it up... regards Dan

  • This is seriously cool.

  • That made my day :D Awesomeness beyond limits.

  • @Max0Inq thanks .. glad you liked it

  • Man. What's the learning curve on that thing?

  • @superjules like any instrument, starting is tough, but with practice,it will come, being a diatonic instrument its possible to make music from the start. just messing around can produce some interesting harmonies.it all depends how far you want to take it.and what type of music you want to play.i will post a basic video on the scale when i get time, regards Dan

  • Terrific. The second tune is the "Atholl Highlanders", btw; or sometimes, the "Atholl Cummers".

  • awesome! is the firs tune 'ship in full sail'?

  • @TheArcturian first tune is tobins favorite . usually [played in D but im playing in G

  • lol...friggin crazy! Outstanding...how / when do you breathe? Is it like a didjeridoo with quick nose bursts?

  • ok .. its not circular breathing.. its blow and draw for the same note.the notes are produced by stopping small holes on the pipes.....that s why my fingers are twiddling about.....

  • That thing is cool, but how do you get sound out of it? How do you change notes?

  • WOW man, ive never heard of this instrument, but great ass playin....keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have a talent!

  • Bagpipe, yes. Kaen. oh no.

  • With those hand movements, this must be some complicated tunes. Thanks for showing us some different tunes coming out of the Khaen, beside the regular Lao tunes.. I like to see more .
