I would like to disagree with the majority here. The anime sketches from the beginning are great--practice. I think that if you enjoy anime, use your talent that you have from drawing those practices and apply them to your original characters. The pieces at the end were just outstanding.
Well, the black and white sketches say a lot about your observation skills. Though that kind of thing is a lot easier with 2D drawings. I loved the ones in color. They really popped.
However, I'd like to see what your artists vision is. I mean, are you an artist simply to recreate anime? Or are you taking it somewhere mind-blowing? Keep going, and see what makes you want to make art. Then surprise the world with something entirely your own. :)
Haha some people take any opportunity to have a go at people.
It's pretty good. Nice to see your delevopment, but if it was me I'd cut out the older stuff (mostly because I usually hate stuff I did ages ago, but if you like it keep it in!)
I've got a video of my work on my page, can check it out if you want.
Thank god you made the stuff in the first half when you were 13! My art teacher would have killed me for drawing that stuff! Though the last pages were good! Even though my art teacher would have killed me for the stuff without enough background if I made it.
I'm almost 100% sure that you haven't drawn all these people directly....:) My best guess would be that you've used photos...Try drawing one of your friends for instance...It helped me a lot to develop my sense of scale(I don't know if this last sentence makes sense)
I agree. I was about to change to another video and then I saw :54 and I was like "fucking finally, something original."
And it didn't help that someone was trying to force a pine cone through my ears through the video.

It might not be a good portfolio but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's not art
Art is supposed to be creative and unique so how can you idiots judge the outcome of something that has loose criteria to begin with!!
Silly youtubers...

@MissVanD1 obviously.
it's good in terms of realism and reproduction but not in artistic creativity. hence this is old. just practice and phases of interest.
