I remember when I was on this when I was about 10 or 9 or something, and it was pitch black and it was going so fast my head was banging from side to side on the safety bar-thingies (lol whatever they are) and I remember seeing all the planets and I was like o_o wwoaaahhh

Just been on mission 2! No music, no smoke, no recoil on cannon and no atmosphere! The original was a classic and should never of been changed. They've completely ruined it.

@daveindorset actually, there is music in space mountain mission 2, but the speakers on the trains were changed with some high tech new speakers, the only problem with this new speakers that they are very sensitive, and they can't stand to the constant vibration of the car!

This ride is still extremely enjoyable. But it's obvious when it became Mission 2 part of it's soul was ripped away. This happens far to often with rides at theme parks.

@jonathansaab It is in total darkness, you can't see the tracks of the rollercoaster, all you see is a lighted up "comet" thing, and you go at it with incredible speed, and the last moment before you hit it you just go all around it in all directions... and then another one, and another one..... I was 10 when i went, i still remember it no 15 years later as if it was yesterday, the most amazing rollercoaster EVER!!!

I went there. People who didn't please don't go because you will really feel sorry for what you have done. It is way too scary. It goes upside-down and suddenly turns left or right and it goes soooo fast you can't breathe! I couldn't even lift my head up because of the speed!

@Lightrocker100 noth rides have the tube. the only differences is that in space mountain mission 2, u don't see the moon and u don't go through a color tunnel. In mission 2. u see a a supernova and u go throught a red laser tunnel.

I remember going there with my dad when it came out but the line was so long. The French people were quite rude and skipping ahead in line. His idea of speaking French (cause we're English) was to speak in English louder. So he got into a fight and we got kicked out.

When i went on it you couldnt see the actual inside bit of the mountain ( i mean like seeing the trains zoomin around and all the stars and stuff) Well i guess there is a reason for that probably because it might be a spoiler before you actually go on it and it probably could have been for safety reasons . But overall its a brilliant ride !!! Been on it twice and really hope to go on it again sometime !!!

*sigh* Indiana Jones went backwards from the year 2000 to the year 2004, it wasn't perminant and it wasn't backwards for 7 years since it's opening! So they didn't ruin anything, they just finished their promotional experience, which is up to them as a company. As for Space Mountain 2, it's the exact same ride, with new music, which isn't terrible. In fact, they've added new elements to the ride, improving it for a smoother experience!

I love all Space Mountains but Euro Disney is the best. Love the industrial revolution art style inspired from Jules Verne including his famous cannon launch style. The other space mountains have a cold futuristic feel like Star Trek, which is fine, but Euro Disney Space mountain truly is grounded in a flight of fantasy.

I went on this ! i am soo glad i did ! it was like one of my fave roller coasters ! we told my mum (who hates rollercoasters) that it wouldnt go upside down or anything ! our mistake ... :L:L I loved it ! me n my sister were at the front but i was nearly falling out ! that was the only downside ! they could make the overhead bars come in tighter ! :D but i wouold defos go on it again ! i would recomend it to anyone who likes rollercoatsers !

Compared to "De la tèrre á la lune", Mission 2 is just ridiculous. Even the name sucks...With this change, DLRP ruined the atmosphere which was so special in Discoveryland, they replaced a really nice themed rollercoaster with an uninspired copy.
