By custom, because the Judge, or magistrate, Bowed, before he left his post and the court room, that means he by default, has abandoned ship and refuses to return a judement for or against the individual standing before him. In fact, if you watch closely, he bowed to "keith" directly, no other person in the room. Lookks like you got your victory

The entire debacle was reported in a local newspaper, the Guelph Mercury (Google "keith thompson guelph mercury" for the articles)

I respect you for testing our rights in court...but you cant simply declare yourself not guilty when the Judge clearly called a recess. If you had shown a tad bit more respect, ill bet you would have won this case! Respect is met with respect and disrespect is met with disrespect. That goes for any facet of life, courts, business, its just how it is.
