they're so wonderful! gorgeous :) thank you also for really gaining their trust, and not just scaring them to respect you, i cant stand when people think that they can gain trust and respect out of a horse, even a mini, by using uncomfortable or scary methods

That is superb. The little fella is trying to groom you back but can't work out where about he should groom you. Mum is very trusting.

Yes, that's exactly the way to gain their trust, although, they must have had some trust in you to start with, as they were pretty quick in coming to you.

That is why we ensure that we are there when they are born. We imprint just like their mum.

I have taken a video today of a foal that was born last night. I tried to see it this afternoon but its mum was taking it away when the foal saw me and ran straight to me. It messed up the video but it was just amazing.

That poor wee foal was having a good scratch of his feet, when along came this big 'monster' and he goes "LOOK MUM! LOOK! What is it"!?? But mom takes no notice, amazing how the foal's attitude changed when he realised you weren't a threat to his mom!

Wow how cute! When I was in year 7 my school bought a minature horse, they named him Willie. We students used to take turns in caring for him. It was pretty cool since we were all city kids and never knew about minature horses. I'd never seen a foal before this vid though lol
