  • This truck replaced our old MACI 2500L crash/structural trucks. Its alot bigger, holds more water, bigger pump, and has an enclosed cab for all our soldiers. I believe they tested these in Yuma AZ, but not sure. Obviously it's not red to remain "Tactical" however the red flashing lights dont help with that. It can be used for structural, aircraft, and wildland firefighting. Kind of a pain to re-pack hose, and it weighs in at about 77,000lbs, she's a beast!

  • where does Oshkosh Truck have test areas? because ive never seen them around oshkosh, so im assuming ther somewhere out of Oshkosh

  • bad russian's trucks copy

  • so why is it not red?

ain't fire trucks supposed to be red? :)

  • @8wd222333 whats the name of the music? and great video!!! im a volunteer firefighter but i´ve never seen a fire engine like this !!!

  • Oshkosh - designed to look dangerous...

Red flashlights, but fails on the steeper slope. I bet it's got speakers playing the music from this video, to make it sound dramatic...

  • @WernerKlorand lmao....driving around with dramatic music from speakers rofl!

  • @WernerKlorand That was more likely to be a deliberate stop and restart on the steep hill, NOT a fail.

    Standard test.

  • be a man, get a MAN!

  • camo green with red flashing lights????

  • Russian KAMAZ the Best !!! but this shit !

  • noting is better off road than russian vityaz

  • TATRA is better

  • In my town, we are still using fire trucks from the 80s........

  • Last but not least they don't sell them to the public. There was only I think 42 of these built in the whole country. 1000 gallon water tank, 1000 gpm Darley water pump, PTO driven generator

  • If anyone wants pictures I have a ton. Just email me. She also has a second 95 horse diesel engine that powers the water pump. They both run off the same electrical and fuel systems. Pretty impressive truck. By the way the only gets 2 miles a gallon.

  • Also it has a Detroit 60 Series engine in it, not a catepillar. The tanker or HEWATT has the same engine but an upgraded turbo so it gets an extra 15 horsepower. I have over 6000 miles behind the wheel time in it which doesnt sound like much, but when you only do it one weekend a month 2 weeks a year thats alot. We have also tore ours apart and re arranged it because the Colonel that designed it was a pilot, so stuff didn't make sense. Now shes fire fighter friendly.

  • This truck is also just a prototype. The one we have has compartments on the passenger side and it also has a folding platform and stair case on the rear of the truck to access the hosebed and the rescue tools

  • I drive this truck for the North Carolina National Guard. There are 2 of them in the state along with 2 HEWATT water tankers. Shes a dream to drive. She cost $850,000 from the factory because it comes fully equipped with all the fire fighting equipment.

  • I LOVE IT....I DROVE A FUEL HEMMIT DURRING THE FIRST GULF WAR...AMAZING VEHICLE.

  • Seen one in real life before

  • Go the 8v92!!!!!

  • even tho it's HUGE, it looks like a lil ol bug

  • I can use one of these.

  • Isn't this one of those surface to surface missile carriers?

  • @Itadakiimasu they can be modified for any use....so i think thats a yes lol

  • copy paste from russia

  • Does it have weapons so it can set enemies on fire while it extingishes friendly vehicles? lol

  • awww it didnt make it up hill?

  • @Hatinonthehaters It did. They do that on the hill to show it can stop, then start back up a 50% grade.

  • At 1.09 loved the way the driver dropped into low low low gear very nice rig but unfortunately too expensive for a small town unit

  • wow

  • Is there any UAV launcher variant?

  • LOL , it's KITT from knightrider

  • I'm from Australia who do I have to contact to buy a 10x10 hemtt I want one to mount a dri rig on

  • I want one...

  • i like one of these and convert it into a caravan lol!

  • Osh Kosh Sounds like a new pokemon XD.

  • Tatra looks better

  • Tatra 815 7

  • it's a HEMMT outfitted w/ firefighting gear

  • its like an armored tank

  • i would not buy that if im a military im not ment to kill fire but to fire gun that was i

  • if i was ever a rock star, my tourbus would be built on this platform

  • i can not imagine how this thing would respond trough the city to an emergency xD

  • @winnipegfiredep I drove it from Ft.Drum NY, to Ft.Monmouth NJ for training, we all took shifts and it was pretty hairy on the Jersey Turnpike going through the booths! Not to mention you need to pay attention to the weight restrictions, it weighs in over 77,000 lbs!

  • well if you wait a year or so they will be at army suplus wont they? I guess you could mod it for road use then no one will steal your parking space :)

  • who went here because you read oshkosh

  • ive seen the parts to make 2 complete trucks, a oshkosh 8x8 tractor and a m series 6x6 cargo truck and i wanted to make a 6x6 oshkosh and put the utility bed on it. it would have been awesome!

  • dang that thing doesnt mess around

  • that has badass writen all over it

  • i need a bigger garage

  • good vehicle, its only dropback is that if you manage to turn it over it has no protection for the driver from the roof top and the sides, so be carefull not to do anything stupid with this beast =D it drives fast thought and can carry TONS of equipment also =]

  • i saw one of these on the 605 in l.a., looked sick!

  • @speed6mazda

Why would a truck be sick??? (and how??) Most importantly, where would you stick the thermometer??

  • that'd make an awesome brush truck!

  • Check TATRA czech truck trials ! This one is a baby compared with those tatra`s :)

  • @MrHeavyfuels Nope.

  • kinda strange name for US.. OSHKOSH.. sounds more like russian

  • @iMdCSClan Or Native American. der.

  • lol 1:22 love the wipers.

  • fuck

  • I think that TATRA is better and a lot cheaper

  • Absolutely right!

  • Biased : )

They both are exceptional vehicles that both get the job done.

  • I drove Oshkosh fire equip in US Marine Corps,, great, durable and dependable,,, this looks like A great addition to their roster..

  • only oshkosh its a real competitor for tatra

oshkosh its a very good machine

  • WOW! AWESOME!

  • I prosume the undercut front is to make for easier crossing of rivers as it cuts a big bow wave being created with a block front.

  • @EnigmaNZ1

No, its to improve the approach and departure angles.

  • @EnigmaNZ1 maybe...buts is mostly for being able to tackle high grade inclines and declines

  • and there is a bigger 10x10 version whew.

  • ta 4x4

  • anyone know the specs on this truck, amount of water, pump gpm's, etc.?

  • its a v8 92 detroit diesel, our army unit has 6 of them, they are a beast. we used them on the cal fires in 2008

  • rosenbauer makes some sweet all terrain airport firetrucks based off man chassis

  • Whuuuu got loled at 1:14 ! 100 percent slope I guess.

  • It's actually a hybrid, doesn't say on their website though. Big son of a bitch ain't it.

  • what's powering this beast,a Detroit Diesel?

  • I like Tatra, but this one is looking good.

  • agreed, i prefer tatras. 815 especially

  • hey "conservative person", no need to shout! i never said i was smart, i was merely commenting that it seemed like an odd vehicle. thanks to scythelord for his constructive, informative comment.

  • sorry, what's the point? a fire in a combat zone is left to burn, a normal fire truck is used everywhere else....

  • Airport fires, base fires, any fire of a friendly vehicle that isn't directly in the line of fire. They just can't depend on there being an available normal fire truck able to get to the scene. These are also used in civilian fire fighting markets.

  • YOUR NOT THAT SMART R YA

  • I have seene some owned by airports as crash tenders.

  • wow i want one about how much would they go for and do they sell public

  • Hi man,This is Military firetruck,I did not know whether they do sell to public 。but US,Anything has been impossible

  • @8wd222333 My uncles dad is the CEO of Oshkosh truck his name is Robert G. Bohn but i call him bob and my uncles name is Kevin Bohn and his wife is Melissa Bohn whos maiden name is Melissa Schimmers and they have to kids Gavin and Haden Bohn and my name is Jacob C. Schimmers and my dad is Brian Schimmers :P

  • @golfer1234567899 You're an idiot for releasing that information.

  • @8wd222333 How old is this vid? What engine do they use now? I hear the 8V92T in this vid.

  • @studpuppy69 It's an old marketing vid. This thing (US ARMY TFFT) is a HEMTT A2 based fire truck with half a HET cab in the middle. They didn't make too many of them and they were all 8V92 engines. HEMTTs now use the CAT C15 engine.

  • @8wd222333 They do sell them and they go for about 500k with out the military upgrades! I saw this guy who had one and hes been traveling all around the world with his family.. he modified to have a room a livin room and three bunkbeds its raw!!

  • @busrsq talkin about a HEMTT or a fire truck, new or used. new osh firetruck, probably 350k, used, maby 200. new HEMTT probably 250k, and used i've seen one for 80k

  • @busrsq you can get a russian ural, it is even better

  • @Darklordkime Oshkosh makes some of the best trucks in the world, Agreed Russia makes great trucks but once you look into Oshkosh you would have to agree they can compete wity anyone

  • @assoonas1 The Soviet army trucks (ZIL) (Ural) (GAZ) are best in world - look video about this trucks fnd you understand my .

  • @vovanpop I have seen them and they are very good trucks.

  • @busrsq actually there is a oshkosh firetruck used in airports right now on gov deals for 30k

  • @busrsq

  • @busrsq watch?v=25IvLknQgRA&feature=related

  • @busrsq watch?v=25IvLknQgRA&feature=related

  • @busrsq nope

  • @busrsq No, they won't sell the public. Maybe in 20 years when they are all demiled but I am guessing they will chop them first. They are way too heavy really for all but heavy moving and from I hear are unstable off road in some situations. Roll your ford F250 and you walked away , roll a 15 ton truck and you most likely will not walk away, nor will your truck. Besides this truck is mostly $250-300K easily.

  • @vtunimog If memory serves me correct, fully loaded with all the tools, hose and extrication equipment, It was $750,000.00! I was an NCO on this truck and had to sign the property book for it.
