Airdate: February 3, 1999. Now in the closing credits, you see the year as 1998, but the credit people just forgot to update the year and it must've been taped two months earlier so probably that's why it was still listed as 1998.
I knew that I had heard this song elswhere. It finally occurred to me that it sounds a lot like the theme to the FIRST season of "F/X- The Series". They are very similar to each other. I am also trying to find a particular version of the theme from the TV series "Sirens", with Tim Thomerson. I recall that one version of that theme song sounds sort of like this version of "DaVinci's Inquest".
Wow, I can't believe someone else besides me watched F/X Series.....Do you mean the one with Cameron Daddo and Carrie Ann Moss? I used to Love that show!
Da Vinci's Inquest had the best writing & acting! I Loved that show! It was so realistic w/ real conversations! Puts Am. cop shows to shame!
Wow! I'm so glad I've found it! Great tune I heard over 10 years ago and can't forget, and the clip features Vancouver's famous Lions Gate Bridge. Many thanks for this!
My pleasure. My watching things like Due South and Stargate got me interested in Canadian shows. I had heard about this one and saw some eps off Hulu. When I heard this theme I knew I had to upload these videos for people
I love this tune! Forgive me for being ignorant, but what instrument is that? Saxophone? Clarinet?

Does anyone have the credits with the George Blondheim version of the theme? It's used in the last three episodes of Season 4.

I am crazy about this theme song - one of the best I've ever heard, right up there with M-Squad and Peter Gunn and The Untouchables.

Wonderful series! I may have seen the first 4 series fortunately because they projected so much in Hungary.

I wish they had an extended version of this theme song. The interplay between the horns, piano, drums and bass are fantastic.
