Love all them, especially Flyleaf. Actually, they are Christian, but do not consider themselves a "Christian band". They don't want to label themselves that, or use it as a marketing tool. They want anyone and everyone to be able to listen and appreciate the music, and to bring the light into dark places. You can't separate their faith from what they do, and if you listen closely, you will hear the depth of who they are.

Yeah, these are all Shit! (Why Shit? because its only a word, a word which adequately describes what I've just seen). Rock as a genre is generally a sexual or angry form of music, so as to be an outlet to relieve inner frustration. Things which most of you, I am guessing, are groomed to be scared of, yet know so little about. If music sounds a certain way, the lyrics should complement that. And even then, the musicianship in these bands is awful.

Rock music is a descendant of Blues music which RECYCLED the religious/spiritual passion of Gospel music to express sexual energy. Sexual ecstasy was made to replace religious ecstasy.
The artistic problem with alot of these bands is that they have no real organic passion like old school gospel singers did, they are just imitating what they hear from secular bands.

Yeah, these are all Shit! (Why Shit? because its only a word, a word which adequately describes what I've just seen). Rock as a genre is generally a sexual or angry form of music, so as to be an outlet to relieve inner frustration. Things which most of you, I am guessing, are groomed to be scared of, yet know so little about. If music sounds a certain way, the lyrics should complement that. And even then, the musicianship in these bands is awful.

Rock music is a descendant of Blues music which RECYCLED the religious/spiritual passion of Gospel music to express sexual energy. Sexual ecstasy was made to replace religious ecstasy.
The artistic problem with alot of these bands is that they have no real organic passion like old school gospel singers did, they are just imitating what they hear from secular bands.
I appreciate the ministry of all who help young Christians in their walk, but that's the ARTISTIC truth

@daveheron You are correct that we are to watch but the Bible has a lot to say about Christ's return. Read Revelation 3:3 which implies that if we are watching, we can know the hour He will return. You can get a lot of info in Spanish from familyradio dot c o m regarding this date. There are a lot of scoffers today that say no. Just read the info and your Bible and you will know the truth.

what have you done for god? do you go into sold out festivals to play your style of worship? just because it isn't a hym or have acoustic guitar doesn't mean it isn't worship.
