  • Hello! Congratulations for your works. A question ... What use to solder?

With the welder electrode have much difficulty with stainless steel ... Thanks

  • You'll need stainless steel electrodes (if they exist) from my understanding - Try using MIG or TIG. Use SS welding wire for the SS track wire.

  • I was so fascinated by these sculptures I wanted to try it my self. I am in the process of getting the materials, and tools to create one of these master pieces. A couple questions I had though. What type of welding do you use for this? I was thinking a simple tack weld would suffice, also brazing should work well. Also, what do you use to make such perfect curves? I am in the process of making jigs out of MDF board. Any other suggestions you have for me would be greatly appreciated.

  • LazyJoe - I use MIG welding and I know that TIG welding does a slightly cleaner weld. As for the bends - I usually bend everything by hand for the larger turns, and I use some PVC pipe and small lengths of different sized diameter metal pipe for the tighter turns.

  • Glad you like the images. I have heard of different ways to make jigs, although my brain is constantly thinking of better ways.

  • It is very interesting to see we handle similar design challenges. Thanks for sharing these views of your progress. I sure hope all of us who have taken the time to build our visions can get together in person. In the mean time, the pics and videos are great.
