The diesel engine and the snorkel and to some degree the sum what portal axle design is its only benefits. Other than that the H1 is just too dam heavy too wide and too large of a turning radius. Weight is the enemy in wheeling. Theres a reason why tube frame rock buggys destroy everything out there.

I dont get it...I am seeing a difference in tires.

The bronce and the "truck bed" hummer have good mud tires and are doing pretty well.

The tool in the green squareback hummer has little better than road tires on and sucks in the mud. There really not enough bronc in this vid to justify hummer vs bronc here, it just a match between tires.

@amcx9950 I have one for my bronco. You can go to any mrina that custom makes tops for boats. They are def nice to have in the summer to. Great investment mine cost $200. Then you dont have to do all the rivets and install to insure it is all perfect inline and at the correct tension when on

I got an old ramcharger, I pull fucking bronco's out of the mud all the time, same with silly californians movin up here with h2's and h3's thinking "Oh yeah I fit in well here in montana!".

Ah at the cost of a HMMWV I will stick with a Bronco anyday hell run a 7.3L Diesel setup an a set of 2.5 ton Rockwells along with some 44" Iroks youll stay WAY below the cost of even a used H1 an youll be able to go more places (keep in mind you may want a different setup for different terrain. Dana60s with the right internals an a set of lockers will work if your runnin smaller tires

Your broncos would make a very poor platform for cargo/troop carriers, automatic weapons platforms, ambulances, M220 TOW missile carriers, M119 howitzer prime movers, M-1097 Avenger Pedestal Mounted Stinger platforms, MRQ-12 direct air support vehicles, S250 shelter carriers etc... I wish people would stop thinking the Humvee was designed as the ultimate off road machine. It was design for the military and its many roles it had to fullfill.
