First off, the Taliban was an oppressive and repressive regime which harbored terrorist that were attacking more than just the US. By eliminating their safe haven we have created a much safer World. Also, the Afghans now have much more food, education, and strength as a nation. Poverty and famine are considerably down, as is the mortality rate. I was just at a CA briefing on the Afghan public.
