  • Thanks for the kind comments mate MrS glad it helped.

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH --CAN NOW DO IT

CAN I GET MORE OF YOUR BRILLIANT SAMPLES

    A VERY HAPPY ' AUSSIE ''

  • GOLDEN P90's ?????

  • @nicktheman999 Thoses are humbuckers.

  • Thank you...........always loved this track..............learning to play it is not quite so easy................already had the basics and I think you may well ahve filled in the blanks....Martin

  • @MrSilplait Thanks buddy, glad it helped that's all it was intended to give you the general idea.

The tone, bends & finese are the trick.

  • Gibbo or Epi?

  • thank you, i dont need to tell you about the watch, but for someone like me trying to learn, this is perfect, cheers

  • @russell2ls, thanks, that was my intention, glad it helped, also keep the open 'E' going while playing. The watch sound is actually the symbols from the video recording I'm playing along with.

  • gibson or epiphone

  • @terry63ireland I agree! The pull-ups, so charatarizing for this song, are just slidely over the top (and therefore out of tune). Peter Green pulls the strings just a tiny bit before the actual note and in a lazy way (he runs behind the rhythm) and that is what captures his magic. Good effort though.

  • Thanks for filming this so we can see what and where it's played. Get rid of the watch and jewelery.

  • Thanks Darling, very relaxing.

V pretty guitar. Nice ring also.

  • Great playing and nice sounding LP...

  • the watch helps

  • awesome, did'nt really notice the watch until i read the other comments,,,gr8 playing nice to listen too, wen mellowing out, and gr8 learning for others....keep it up...

  • Thanks for the nice comments, I didn't hear the watch either until I turned up the volume. Glad to hear you liked it.

  • awesome

  • rattler lol

    nice one though

  • Comment removed

  • your watch makes a good instrument lol thanx

  • Very nice cover, but this watch is so annoying..

  • lovely :)

  • At 2:05 I would have used that watch of yours to slide that last part ;-P

    Good work tho

  • Well done - all props to the great Peter Green!

  • very nice, but take off your watch next time! ;)

  • good effort! but my main criticism would be that you're rather mechanical. Peter Green is a real 'feel' player, try to really capture that feel. Just little things like emphasising certain notes, coming in slightly later/earlier at times and using more vibratos and slides. Don't worry about playing it exactly the same, put your own mark on it, he would never play it the same live.

  • nice

  • very good! but watch your bend pitchting! slightly off in a few small places, thats not dissing, just trying to give constructive criticism from one guitarist to an other!

  • haha ure watch sounds cool :P btw try using ure fingers to play itll sound way more harmonic and sum vibrato wud be ncie when u bend the strings

  • aha ur watch is rattlin lol :L but good cover tho :)

  • Very nice ......gr8!

  • Beautiful

  • you forgot to hit the 'B' note twice at 2 41

    ;)

lovely - just lovely. I really like the way you play this. I remember reading in Guitar Player Peter Green comparing the main riff (the partial barre of the A chord, the B note) as "Merry Christmas"

    priceless

  • very nice sustain

  • what makes music neat is the little variations people put into a cover- its not exactly like Pete Greene's but very nice.

I stumble thru it on a acoustic nwithout a cutaway and have to make a few adaptations but I like it.

  • You must bend both strings a whole step up when you play solo part,it is harder but sounds much better.

    Greetings!

  • Watch is doin' great job (:

    Good made cover anyway,

    cheers .

Regards for all Greeny's fans .

  • you need a sports watch man, lol... a single coil strat wouldn't hurt either... well played though mate!!

  • @zombieboy9x3 yeh but green used a humpucker les paul for this song?

  • very nice sound and playing too 5*

  • Malos bends, la posición no es correcta, y suema mas la cadena de su reloj, que el backin que se escucha detra muy malo.

  • well played. Really enjoyed the way you rattle your watch too. LOL.

  • you should use a slide...

  • is there any chance on getting tabs for this? because all the ones ive found, arnt like this

  • You can see exactly how he's doing this though..

  • I'd say the John Lennon estate owes Greeny some royalties. Sun King, anyone?

  • great vid. the one thing that annoyed me though was your watch makin a sound every time you were makin vibrato's ;) :P

  • like a snake lol :D

  • very very good...

    brilliant...call u the rattlesnake..lol

learnt a lot from ur vid...

    keep it up

    Mikey, Dublin, Ireland

  • Thanks for watching Mikey, glad you liked it.

  • @307bp lol genius nick name!!!!!

@ Wolf4u2 some nice playing there thanks for sharing

  • very nice 5 *****

  • Thnks, glad you liked it. I'll try & get by and see what you've done soon.

  • nice

  • could i get the tab for this

  • You're kidding right? Just watch and use your ears. FFS.

  • he's got the camera right on his hands for one. two if you really need tabs there's this thing called google, USE it, stop trying to get him to waste his time sending you tabs you dont need.

  • this was a awsome cover man , keep up the good work :D

  • nice technique but your tone fails in some places, try turning the tone knob on the rhythm pickup to about 4.

  • ive just stuck the guitar backing track for this im my vids,,enjoy..and yes that guitar is sweet..

  • lovely guitar playing, but try taking off your watch, it rattles and ruins the music :)

  • Yes I know, didn't realize it at the time, hope to redo it someday, thanks.

  • what do you play at 2:19? cant get that part...

  • 1st string 16th fret, pre bend a whole step, play the note & release it. Then 2nd string, 17 play & bend. Repeat. Third time through goes to 1st string, 14fret to 2nd string 17th fret. Hope this helps.

  • tnx, and one more part, before this 2:19. you go 1st string 18th fret then 20th to 18th slide and 2nd string 18h to 20th slide. then repeat. and third time?

  • Yes, with one more 1st string, fret 20 to 18 slide at the end of what you wrote.

  • is there any way of getting the sound without having to bend the strings ,,ie,,extra notes that way need to be slipped in

  • Some can be done with a slide, otherwise "no". Lighter gauge strings will help with bends though.

  • nice playing, nice guitar..

  • You must work on your timing!~ Besides ..Cool Cover!

  • Beautiful guitar... what kind is it...?

    Great Classic tune

  • Les Paul Custom, 2008, 1968 VOS custom flame (custom shop). Thanks for watching.

  • Nice work... Thanks.

  • Very, very nice.

  • Pretty sweet man! This is really a brilliant song and you pulled it off, rather well at that.

  • i reli like this song, and im usually into the heavy stuff. very nicely done :)

could i ask was it easy for you to learn? its a special request from my dad that i learn this song :P

  • Thanks for the positive response. Playing guitar is easy to learn and difficult to master. Best of luck.

  • tabs please?

  • thats beautiful, easy but moving.

  • Thanks, glad you liked it.

  • Excellent cover

  • Thanks, appreciate the positive input.

  • you might wanna take your watch off next time, lol

    nice though

  • Yes I see what you mean with all the vibration. Thanks for watching.

  • Very Nice. Well Played.

  • And by the way. The video is mutch better than your last vids. Regards CP

  • Thanks CP, I got a new videocam. Was using a webcam, thanks for telling me as I can't tell the difference except for the size fills the screen better. Probably the frames per second (fps) are alot more with the videocam.

  • Wolf,

    Thank alot. Really really apreciated.

Now i have to start practice. When i done i will post a thank you video. Regards CP
