Honestly, this is an amazing video. I have a friend who tends to engage in self mutilation, is seemingly depressed often (but tends to hide it) and has had serious conversations with me about all of it. I guess its good my friend can talk to me.... but it scares me, because I think eventually this friend WILL take their own life... And I really don't want to lose them. This person is one of my closest friends, and I love them. So I hope to God they know people care about them. :)

Honestly, this is an amazing video. I have a friend who tends to engage in self mutilation, is seemingly depressed often (but tends to hide it) and has had serious conversations with me about all of it. I guess its good my friend can talk to me.... but it scares me, because I think eventually this friend WILL take their own life... And I really don't want to lose them. This person is one of my closest friends, and I love them. So I hope to God they know people care about them. :)

@koolkoolkitten No. Suicide is because you can't bear to live anymore... However, people who commit suicide or attempt to, don't think about what they are doing to the people they love. They don't think about how they will be missed and how much hurt they cause their family/friends. Also, they don't realize that the things in their life that cause them to WANT to take their own life, can be resolved or made better, with time and speaking out about it.

actually, no. suicide is not necessarily the act of PURPOSELY killing oneself. For example, Kurt Cobain committed suicide on purpose. Heath Ledger committed suicide on accident.

I even researched suicide for a school project. I found out that accidental suicide ISN'T technically suicide. It may be a sub-intentioned death: someone who deliberately puts themself in a deadly situation, even though they don't explicitly intend to die.

If you suffer from depression etc. you're mentally weak. It's nothing wrong about it in that way because it's completely human but still you can't be anything but weak if you commit suicide. @iceeiceebby1 When you kill yourself, you also kill off any hopes or chances of not wanting to kill yourself, making it very apparent that it's a stupid concept. To think that it is not stupid means you are mentally weak. With regards to euthanasia where there is guaranteed pain until a guaranteed death then that person is physically weak and has an understandably weak will. I used to cut myself, and I know that he was probably trolling, but rash reactionary judgements don't make an argument.

self injury is NOT related to suicide whatsoever. Do your homework. It is rarely related and people who self injure only do so because they feel unreal/numb and most never actually intend on doing so to take their life away. I would know. I still do it.
