A Republican Moderating his views for a presidential race...it may disenfranchise him or her a bit with their pre campaign views, but this is nothing surprising. McCain had the best chance in 2008 because he was the most moderate, or a Gypsy Moth as he might have been called in the 70's. But those types of republicans are almost all gone. So a steeper change in views is only natural when the tea party pushed the GOP further to the right.
He stuttered and stammered but got there in the end; all's well that ends well. I think he's doing well by appealing to the people who are sick of the slimy bastads like Romney whose greed knows no bounds. To attack those greedy pigs is not to attack capitalism; it's attacking their dishonesty and lack of accountability.
