5:57 to c. 7:14 is a wonderfully constructed single shot/angle scene, and also excellently acted by the four players. Their timing is great, and it's really funny to boot...
The woman who plays the mother is perfect...your typical hard nosed, sour faced council estate fish wife, hair in pony tail, everything down to the jacket she wears is spot on. She looks like so many of my mates mothers from this era, even her facial features are typical. I bet there's been a long line of peasant women exactly like her since the Middle Ages. They take no shit and are very dangerous in the vicinity of frying pans.
It's amazing that Tim and Gary went on to become famous in America after this, and its interesting to watch them in these early roles. They are both great actors, and i'm glad they have done so well !.It's always good to see British actors doing well internationally.I'm British myself, and am interested in acting too.
Go for it! Look for a role as a skinhead since doing that apperently helps ya on your career :P Like, Russel Crowe (Aussie, I know), Gary and Tim and a few others.
I MEAN THIS WEIRD OBO CHAMBER MUSIC IS ABOUT RUINING IT FOR ME, BUT BESIDES FROM THAT...
