  • Hi nice video, could you tell me name of the song ?

  • @Mondestas Thank you. :-) And the tune is Cups by Underworld from the Album Beaucoup Fish.

  • Hi ,nice video. Could you tell me track name in the video ?

    Thanks

  • @danneman40 It's 30fps, or rather 29.97 or whatever standard NTSC is.

And no, no slow motion or anything like that. It's very basic.

  • is the footage a bit more clear on a tv?

  • @ninjazoner Not really. In fact, I eventually got rid of the camera because the images weren't very crisp. Amazing image stabilisation comes at the price of soft images it seems.

  • I;m Glad I Live in England

  • how do you get the camera to record in 16:9?

  • Press the Menu button then take the [ADVANCED] option and choose [ASPECT]. You will get to select 4:3 or 16:9 from there.

  • its set on 16:9 but when i upload the raw footage to youtube it shows up in 4:3

  • Oh yes, ok. When you record in 16:9 I think it actually records 640x480 and specifies that the pixels get stretched horizontally to 854x480 on playback; I believe this is just a flag in the video file because Windows Media plays the raw files as 16:9 but QuickTime (and YouTube) plays them as 4:3. What I have had to do is import the video into iMovie (or WMM or whatever) and output the clip explicitly setting the size to be 854x480 in the export options. Then upload *that* file to YouTube.

  • Hi! Loved the video. I also have a SDR-S7 and i was wondering what settings you used when exporting the video from imovie

  • So I export the movies from iMovie with Expert Settings, Compression Type H.264, High Quality, Single Pass, and the Dimensions as 640x480 for 4:3 footage and Custom Dimensions of 854x480 for 16:9 footage (uncheck preserve aspect ratio). I have found H.264 is a good export format for use on YouTube and makes for a relatively small, but decent quality video files.

  • Sweet vid! How long does your commute last? what recording setting did you use? How did the battery do?

  • The commute is about 35-45 minutes depending on traffic. And this was all recorded on the highest setting, XP Mode. The battery did fine but you only get about 45 minutes of real use out of it; switching on and off, zooming and such battery draining stuff. And that is a bit of a problem.

My Canon FS100 gives an hour and a half or more of battery life. And ultimately, the extra size of the FS100 is worth it for that extra recording time...

  • Good stuff

  • A bloody classy video. Good stuff.

  • haha cool vid. I wanted to see the quality of the cam before I make up my mind.. thanks for sharing. I also live in the Bay. :)

  • Thanks for sharing this video. Very good video quality.

  • While I've never ridden an ox, that OX is sure a smooth ride. Nice video.
