  • WHen I first listened this album,

I headbanged so hard, my neck hurt for 2 weeks

  • this song is so deep, its one of the saddest things to imagine someone who just wants to die BUT HE CANT....LOVE THIS SONG

  • Fantastic, true song!!!

  • To anyone who might be new to the band, the songs Scarred + Slave to the Dark + Question of Heaven sort of go together in what has come to be known as "The Suffering Trilogy".

  • Amazing

  • One thing I hate about this band, I headbang so hard my headphones come out. :)

  • @AnthonyRF1996 one other thing i hate about this band, i headbang so hard, i have no hair left

  • This song is hell spawn approved ;)

  • i see that many of you like this song and come what may but what about watching over me??? this is one of the best song ever writen in the whole music history....yes i know thats to much but i god damn like this song :P

  • i love iced earth so much and Barlow will always be their greatest singer for me. the 2 greatest IE songs for me were Dante and this. i don't want Iced Earth to do a remake of this with Stu on vocals cos i'll be honest the original Dante for me shits all over the remake. Stu is a good singer but Barlow is the best one for both songs

  • A true masterpiece!!!

  • This song and "Come What May" are the best songs that Iced Earth ever wrote. Both are very moving emotionally.

  • @CrissKaos83 Come What May is not THE best song, but it is one of them. IMO I'd have to say ,A Question of Heaven,Melancholy and When the Eagle Cries. Those are probably the most emotionally moving songs I've ever heard.

  • @SweetOdinsRavens I heard this song first time in live version from Metal Camp from DVD and I like it much more than studio version, don't know why. Maybe becasue of stronger sound of drums, solos....

Also, for me Come What May is the best emotionally moving song ever. The part from 3:05 to the end is very strong, this gradating ending with Barlow high singing, awesome.

  • randal shawver... the thing that is missing from todays iced earth... co-composer of their music until the dark saga.. after that something went wrong although they still make good metal music... but until the dark saga they were PIONEERS

  • i fucking love that song
