Oingo Boingo is Danny Elfmans' old band. Elfman went on to doing sound for film; Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, and probably 100+ more highly promoted films, each of which was recognized for it's sound production. Even the music that introduces The Simpsons.

Elfman is a genius.

However, IMO, music of The Cure highly overshadows that of Oingo Boingo. OB music sounds like carnival music to me.

The Cure (Disintegration and before) is amazing. Post Dis is horrible, to my ears!
