Hey thanks a lot. Obviously I agree! I think if it were ne one else who wrote this bass part they would have probably copied Keith's lead but Bill was cool enough to make the bass do something different.

That's one of the greatly underappreciated things about Bill Wyman. Listen closely and you'll hear somebody who gave that extra OOMPH to Stones records. Satisfaction, JJF, Paint It Black, Start Me Up, Miss You, Hot Stuff. Bill is one of the great unsung bass players in rock. He and Charlie nailed it together. Kudos to Keith though for the bass on Street Fighting Man.

nice job bro! are you palm muting those notes? sounds nice and thick! Using a pick usually makes it a little twangier, i dont hear that ... I like it!

Hey thanks. I think I was semi-palm muting, but a lot of the muting also comes from the fretting hand. Oh, and my bass sounds thicker because I had the tone knob only half way up.

Yeh. I know... I've been busy but I hope to do more now. It always takes me the longest to get the levels right before I record a keeper. I cross reference the tapings on cheap laptop speakers and on a better sound system to make sure it sounds good both ways... so yeh that takes some time. But I think I got it down now!
