One of these guys won a Gold medal in the Olympics they are both training for. Guess which one... That's right, the one who wasn't slacking the whole time.
@chade1983 1. Mocco was a number 1 ranked recruit in 2001 going in as a freshman to Iowa, he's no goddamn slouch. 2. He's cutting from about 310 to get to a fit 285, which is hard for a big guy. 3. This workout was obviously meant for Cejudo, much lighter than Mocco.
@MMANewsandReviews Not a slouch, never said he was a slouch and I am well aware of who Steve Mocco is and what he has accomplished. What I said was that he was slacking the whole time, and the guy who wasn't won a gold. Big guys do stuff differently than the little guys, I will give you that, but that still doesn't excuse slacking. And if you watch Mocco's matches in college where he lost, his opponents outworked him and when he got tired, he got out of position and lost.
@MMANewsandReviews Mocco was really good for a time. He just never got over the hump and developed into a really great Olympic freestyle wrestler. He was a great college wrestler, I will give him that, but as a freestyle wrester he is world-class but not so elite that you could call him an Olympic champion. Mocco is good at the international level, not great, yet... He may come back, maybe if he trains harder he could reach the top of the heap. I like the guy, I was just sayin
I was a high school wrestler. I went all out at every practice and I was the hardest worker in the room. I've worked so hard, so many times, passing out, throwing up, etc.
I would fucking DIE if i had to do 10 minutes with Brands
nobody said wrestling was easy, you can tell by the sweat on the mat that they had just finished drilling, so most of the conditioning they are doing now is a lot harder than it looks, plus they are probably cutting weight, so there doing this with little water and energy, the average person would not be able to do this,..... the average wrestler would.
I think this is olympic training. The big guy is Steven "The Bear" Macco a former Hawkeye. The smaller guy is Cejodo and they are both training for Bejing or Worlds. Brands is the world team coach.
@dsettleascii yeah the heavyweight with them also started at Iowa. They are both Steve and the Hevavyweight are both in the ESPN wrestling documentary on Iowa wrestling. The whole thing is on Youtube if you wanna look it up.
@ansom09 hahaha your a fuckin ignorant dipshit. henry cejudo is a gold medalist, he wouldn't do any pussy workouts. besides, any of the brands wouldn't issue a worthless workout, id like to see your "intensely conditioned" wrestlers win a gold medal
@bigbirdgrappler60 i didnt say anything about rankings, or freestyle. i was watching a documentary on iowa wrestling and he went to nationals as a freshman in college, and i thought he wrestled internationally after college but i could be wrong. and i mean he is training with an Olympic wrestler and top notch coach, sooo it's safe to assume hes at least pretty good
@jrwrestling123 first of all these guys are training for freestyle in this video hence the reason i brought it up the little guy never wrestled in college mocco was a bust for iowa back to back silvers is bad in hawkeye fans eyes leaving for okie state is even worse winning a title for them well he can burn in hell for all i care
@bigbirdgrappler60 very true, and yes cejudo didnt wrestle in college, but went from high school straight to training with team USA and won gold so I don't think his lack of college wrestling is a negative mark. but i think we can still agree mocco is(/was? I dont think he wrestles anymore) a very good wrestler, which was my original point
