Norton isn't as thorough as avast or Comodo,

it's more what you are using pc for:

Comodo internet security just keeps everything at bay, but is difficult to understand the security messages, every action not listed by user is controlled. Avast is more automatically.

if your pc already has been infected, then google for Combofix, and run it. it is the most powerfull antimalware program on internet, but is for scans only, You MUST downlaod recivery console too. tell me if this fixes your problems
