Ha! What a bluffer. It's exactly the same as Train Song. I know if it ain't broke don't fix it an all, but this is bluffing at the highest order. Good song though whichever was the original
I am new to her - but she should never have become discouraged - I would rather listen to her than the likes of Lady Gaga or Craig David and that Peter Andre etc.
Normally voices change a lot with age, but with Vashti it sounds as stunning as ever. I am so glad they used Train Song for the Samsung commercial. It is how I found this jewel. It has enriched my life :D
not many things make me forget everything, then stop and stare...and even less things move me to tears for the sheer beauty of it... but this did... her voice... need i say more?! i love it.
Her voice reminds me vaguely of Joni Mitchell but softer and less emotionally volatile. Very warm and silky voice, I guess. I'll get more of her records.
I would like to know what kind of drugs this lady was on doingthis song because I want em and then im gonna listen to this song after i do them and probly wonder into another universe.... p.s. i was serious about the drugs
Yes.. Just lulls you away.. she has one of the most hard to define voices.. Her voice somehow unstitches the soul and seeps into you like a warm intoxication, so haunting.. now time to drift away..
Oh my god! This woman's voice is so beautiful! I looked for the "Reebok Migration" song and discovered an artist who has just made a quick fan out of me! Where has she been all my life and why isn't she more known? Her soothing voice sounds like a cross between Karen Carpenter and Dusty Springfield! Who both are awesome in their own right! So calming, like a mother singing a lullaby to her child. Wow!
I just discovered it through the commercial as well. I am hooked on Vashti now! I am a huge Kate Bush fan, and Neko Case Deep Red Bells have been on my mind all day and this song comes along. It gives me massive goosebumps. The lullaby rings true to heart. I'd like to hear some of Vashti's music in Weeds [on Showtime]. I like The Train Song better so far though.
no no, you have it all wrong for YOU Reebok thanks HER. its incredible how commercial giants manipulate the public with good music. i guess the artist allow it too. anyways her music is whimsical and sweet. i like it alot.
I heard the song when the tv was playing and was captivated by the Train Song's haunting tune. Who cares about the ad's product? The music was wonderful.
Dear Vashti ...i need a new song :D

Guys, a note: few things can "close the deal" like Vashti Bunyan.

She is a proper singer

It's a shame that her album sold poorly in 1970. We could have had a lot more material if she hadn't become discouraged.

Artists may write songs about drugs, but drugs don't magically give anyone the talent of songwriting, you have to find that yourself.

I'm not sure it's about drug. Sounds like a Lucid Alice-like Dream
