    charlesthepoet2004

    THANKS.

  • From the country that builds million dollar cruise/smart missiles to blow up a mud hut in downtown Kabul. I give you, Good People with no homes and no chance of social housing. Keep pumping the millions of $ into Pakistan, the locals (who hate the Yankies guts) need to upgrade from HD to 3dTVs and don't like to be kept waiting.

  • @PaulDonaldRoy Listen Paul I think your bed sheet is showing.

Be nice to Obama because we will take him in Canada.

He's at the wheel of the Titanic and people want room service.

  • Why not Just live in Trains Iike Hobos

Sent your kids away like they did in the Great Deppression. That would be something.

  • Because living in trains is dangerous and illegal. Many hoboes died hopping trains, got crushed, decapitated, etc. It was "free transportation" unless they were caught, and in the 1880's on, more and more cities and towns became intolerant to the hoboes--or the 'traveling homeless,' and created vagrant laws so that the hoboes could be instantly jailed, imprisoned or sent to work farms if they were found to have no money and/or no place to stay. No town wants out-of-town homeless coming to live.

  • Bushvilles are palaces compared to the up and coming Obummervilles. BTW... all of this caused by the Fed. Reps and Dems are the same.

  • I wonder how many news people donated food and clothing to these homeless people, NONE! but it's good news coverage for rating profits. Fuck the u.s govt.

  • UTV07 sounds like Phil Gramm that said, "Americans need to stop whining".

Who also was the author to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act that caused this republican lead Great Depression II.

Maybe well get another great book like, "The Republican Raisins of Wrath".

  • Those lucky bastards! They get to go camping for free and don't even have to take time off from work to do it, nor worry about how they'll pay the bills while they're gone! I'd probably choose somewhere a little more off the beaten path, however, but that's their choice.

Come on, quit bitching. Make the most of your situation. Did you see the inside of that tent? That's sweet! Huge, well furnished. Obviously not going the untralight route like I would, but that's me.

  • your attitude's awesome!

  • IHateUnsympatheticNuts

  • Why don't you go hug a tree.

  • hey how about we STFU with the politics and try to solve the problem. then you can bitch and moan about the other party

  • bushvilles..obamavilles..it has nothing to do with the presidents

people dont seem to want to remember that the economy was already starting fall when clinton was still president

&& clinton and bush BOTH tried warning congress about the amount of money that was being loaned to people

it was the DEMOCRATS that wouldnt listen to it && assured everyone that everything was fine...&& it obviously wasnt

    these should be called democratvilles

& of course obamas plan is shit too. what now?

  • One whole year? What a goon. KiffenRoor and Arsml-- not that sharpest knives in the drawer are we? Republithugs, you are a hoot and a half. Just hope to hell I never see another one in the WH.

  • The Drive By Media loves this stuff, NBC sucks.......where is the Obama aid, or Jesse and Al for these poor people......oh yeah now I know why......

  • The people who are experiencing it probably don't love it that much actually.

Give us a bit and we'll fix the horrifying "legacy" w left us.

  • Hooverville?

He's been out of office for like ONE WHOLE YEAR ALREADY. Try Rooseveltville, demoncRATS.

  • Who's been out of office for a year? I guess you could mean w since he didn't actually DO anything for the last couple of years other than try to not get impeached.

    Bushville is fairly accurate.

  • Alcoholics.

  • Well look dude, w had a medical condition and should have had it treated before we allowed him into office. I guess he was "functional" but really it's pretty clear that his judgment wasn't particularly good (see various wars as a reference).

The guy who put these people on the street was an alcoholic, I agree, but we really shouldn't vilify him like you just did. We should instead, work together to fix his mistakes and help these people get back to being contributing members of society.

  • I'm not 100% certain that "stupid fucking idiot" adequately covers you kiffenroor but I'll use it anyway because it's pretty damn close.

You are a stupid fucking idiot.

    What's wrong with this mission statement by the way;

"The mission of the Instituto Laboral de la Raza is to provide labor rights education and legal advocacy for all low income workers"

You got yours so fuck everybody else, right?

  • Shocker that insults are flying from a leftist thug on the internet..... You are are either undereducated about what that group is all about or you are a member who would like to suck off California's entitlements system and burn American flags while spitting on police officers. You are thugs, we will defeat you, stop blaming everyone else for your personal failures. You will never get California back.....ever.

  • There are millions of empty houses all around the country whose owners have been evicted. Why not let people live there? Why not just move in? If they make you leave go somewhere else.

  • invisible fist of the free market

  • he wasn't forced to spend trillions of dollars on an unneeded war.

  • our money to bailout AIG funds 95 % loans for israelis @ 4% INTEREST

  • What did the posters at the entrances to the agentine slums say a few years back: "We welcome the middle classes".

For those who voted for Bush and end up homeless - my empathy is not all that big.

  • Pay check to pay check for thirty years? Wow, thats just stupid.

  • Unfortunately some people could not afford to save money. I have friends who have had jobs where they lived paycheck to paycheck and not have the luxuries of going out to dinner or a movie. Noone should be so judgemental.

  • Obama has been in office for only 60 days.

  • Don't tell that to the idiots blaming him. Funny that people called republicans on this in the fall saying they would still try to blame Obama. They really think if Bush was still in office we wouldn't be in a recession.

  • About 40 days ago, these became Barackvilles. What he's doing right now isn't going to help these people in the least.

  • They need to pack up there stuff and move to where the Jobs are! If they want work it's out there. MOVE FOR FUCK SAKE! Some times you need to live in a Cilimate that is not sunny and 75 degrees year round like Sacramento.

  • What a fraud. Why didn't these people save their money over the years?? It's their own fault. Too bad.

  • How do you save money when interest rates are next to zero and the Stock Market is like investing in a Las Vegas Casino?

  • bush's fault? obama's fault? yes and no

Please research the federal reserve system and learn how credit expansion creates malinvestment.

    PLEASE

  • Bushville is also the name of a 1990s porno.

Was pretty good. Didn't care for the 70's era unshaved snatch though.

  • hilarious

  • these arent bushvills. this is a result of greed on the part of those in the housing market with inflating prices.

  • It's genocide.

  • Kevin Johnson should be ashamed !!

How many Circuit Cities just closed ?

Open up those buildings or others and let these people sleep under a roof , with toilets available !!

Kevin Johnsosn is walking amomg them there ,,,you mean the city of Sacramento can't afford to put 5 porta poties there for these people ??

We stand by and let out governments , national and local get away with way too much shit !!

  • BravoFlintfO Bravo!!

  • It's not the right, it's not the left, it's both, and guess what, the same powerful people are behind it all so stop watching the dog and pony show and WAKE UP

  • Wrong Matt, they were one paycheck away from being homeless. During the Bush administration the gap between rich and poor was the greatest since before the last Republican depression. There was negative savings like before the last Republican depression. Get the pattern?

  • Consider yourselves lucky, tramps. Those digs are 10x better than what Obama's half-brothers, George and Abongo, live in in Kenya(Obama's birthfplace).

  • Casino capitalism is what caused this. Investment banks went on a gambling spree and now the tax payers have to cover their losses. Look into this---> The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act,

  • This did not happen within a few months, we need to give President Obama more time than this to judge how he is doing things. He has given us hope, even with all this devastating fact about our country. The fact is it is our country and I love it, we need to be united with the people. We need to remind the government they don't run us...we run this country a democracy! Stand up for the people in tent city!!!!!!!

  • Oh give me a break. What a typical Bush Republican, blaming every mess you made on everyone else but yourselves. You're like a bunch of spoiled children.

This depression was Grover Norquist's wet dream. It was he who crafted Bush's economic policies in hopes of bankrupting the government so that it would be forced to cut out all spending other than defense - make government small enough to "drown it in the bathtub". Those are Norquist's words.

  • And as for blaming it on the Democratic congress, yes they get some of the blame, but not for the false reason that you gave. The real reason is that they were as spineless and useless as the Republican congress that existed for the first 6 years of the Bush administration, and let Bush dictate and have his way with everything, including budget, tax cuts, oversight - you name it.

The Dems fiddled while Rome burned. Now the Republicans are trying to throw more fuel on the fire.

  • Wait, he introduced bills to *prevent* the bailouts?

And all 8 years? The crisis didn't even exist in his first few years; how could he have introduced legislation to help it?

  • In America. This is a disgrace. Thank you, George, the GOP and Wall Street.

    You've done marvelously.
