@SabbathFan132 Probably drop C, and the scale is the minor, with harmonic minor and melodic minor notes added in. Like most metalcore, deathmetal. Most bands nowadays use 0, 8, 7, 10 as their progression. Its a pretty generic metal scale but it gets the job done and you can always throw in chromatic runs to emphasis phrasing.

I wasnt sure how i felt about this till 1:10. That was sick. The rest of it is very typical of melodic metal riffing. Open on the E string. then 8th fret, usually followed by the 5th or 3rd fret. I write a lot of riffs like that myself :)
