I love firefighters. Someone I know who is a firefighter was in an arguement in a bar with someone who had a problem with his nationality and I kept thinking, "you wouldn't have a problem if he was pulling you out of a fire."
I saw the cute bit where one of the firemen was holding a cat (named Smokey) in his arms. And that cat reminded me of Katy's old cat Frankie. Her old cat died and she has a new black cat named Clio. I once saw Clio and I thought that he looked cute. :)
An NYFD firefighter was shot by an idiot yesterday. I know b/c I've worked in the same city but not in Nassau county, and I heard their call for additional aid going out.
The guy was drunk and caused an accident. When help arrived he opened fire on them, and one of the firefighters was hit.
On September 11, 2001, at least 23 units from outside the city of New York had to respond.
I know that b/c they gave our family transcripts of what the fire department did to combat the blaze and how their command posts were set up and all kinds of other stuff I still can't read about.
this is the only opening where firefighters walk around the fire engine and shatner, they should've had paramedics working on a dummy and shatner walking around lol.

It's kind of funny how Shatner in this episode has so much makeup on, he almost looks like a woman. :)

While I was watching this, I heard a fire siren. At first I didn't know if it was from this film, but then I realized it was from outside my window.

i don't think chris pechin did any sketches for this segment since this was a docu segment he just did the "parachute" segment from this episode.

At 3:21 , that sure looks like Bill Treanor answering the phone. Looks like Doc in the background. Definitely not dispatcher 248.

for the ambulance segments there should've been medics putting a stretcher in ambulance and medics working on first-aid skills with dummies lol.

osama bin lauden should've been aborted at birth otherwise those buildings at 8:43 would stand today imho.

Man, seeing that segment reminds me how NYFD responded to 9/11.

The NYFD are all heroes! I wonder how many of these guys responded to 9/11... I hope they're all safe. Bless them all.
How poignant is 8:43... the twin towers and the firetruck siren wailing. Made me cry... : (
