@moonwalker5058 X3 has 6MB of sounds while N364 has the same 6MB' plus 2 Mb more. But seems that the sound extension is different, so you can not use X3 sounds in N264. Strangely, X5D, that has the same 8MB like N364, has a sound format that makes him backwards compatible with X3. Strong points in favor of N264, along with 2MB more sounds are: 64 polyphony vs. 32 poly of X3, sequencer can manage 64 poly vs 32, and better D/A converters for better sounds quality, and it's newer.
Question: I'd like to change sounds quickly during live performance with the push of one button. I haven't figured out a way to do this from the manual. Any help with that would be appreciated.
@kornhelius To be fair, the Microkorg can't hold a candle to this in terms of the lush sounds this can make. A plus is that the MK has USB connectivity and you can tweak the sounds a lot, but they're very focused on trancey sounds for the MK.
I'm going to buy a Korg X2, tomorrow. I would like to buy a 01/W fd, but I can't find it on Internet :( .. 'I'm from Venezuela'... Anyway, the X2 has very good sounds too!. I love the Korg leads " 2:16 " :) . Thanks for the demonstration!.
Hi, I notice that you've also done a demo of the O1/W - which do you think is better, specifically for its sounds (not the sequencer) ease of use? Thanks - good video but preferred the O1/W vid you did!!
X2/X3 are MASTERS of voluminous synth PADs. i would not use it for solo synth sounds...there are just some better ones (even the microkorg is a great solo synth)
As an owner of a X2, I can tell you: You have exactly the same sounds, but the X2 has the 01/Wpro 4 MB piano sample. So, the X2 has a better piano, with all you hear here ;)
X3 and N364 have the same sounds, right?

Does this Keyboard Has good organ sounds, like Hammond b3, with vibrato??
Flawinhoh 1 year ago
good Korg Organ but no Hammond simulated ones :(

@Space4Keys
Dude, I think at one time they had a pcmcia card that had organ sounds for the X3
.
I bought the strings card years ago, and it is bad to the bone!
I love this KORG. They don't make it anymore and it has a uniqueness aboout it.
I remember watching VH1 and saw that a few bands in the 90's were using KORGs, that's when I had to get one.
The X3 used a YAMAHA circuit board, however was mostly made in the USA, with sturdy parts. (except for that damn floppy drive)

The X2 is the same as the X3, except it has 76 keys, and it has a dedicated 2meg piano sample. Also, it has 2 more outputs than the X3.
