The reality is that global warming (or is it "climate change" now that it has been cooling for the past decade) is a complete sham, and we have 200 more years of oil and 1000 more years of coal before we need to change energy sources. I check today how much it would cost to buy a solar system to power a single pool pump. It would cost over $8000 and require my entire south facing roof. Wind? Forget about it. I'm the one living in reality.

I don't do business with Wal-Mart first of all. Second, I have supported the Military since before you were born performing Depot Level Maintenance on A6, EA6B, F-14, E2C and F-5 Aircraft to ensure the Navy have the best. If you are in the Navy, good for you. As you get older and get some more experience under your belt, maybe you will realize that change is hard to accept but necessary. Did the oil come ashore or did it evaporate, Senator? Why are you opposed to drilling for natural gas offshore? Because of the threat of a natural gas spill on our beaches? Bill, do we have category 5 hurricanes hitting the gulf everyday?  Do you think it is reasonable to say that for 360 days per year oil could be extracted cleanly and safely from the whole gulf anywhere it's located?

Comparing Chernobyl to U.S. nuke plants is like comparing the Yugo to a Cadillac. The U.S. Navy has been operating nuclear reactors SAFELY for about 60 years. Even the French produce 80% of their electricity with nuclear power. But you site a third world commie reactor where untrained engineers intentionally disabled all the safety device in order to do some "test."

I can't believe the amount of NIMBY people have in opposition to drilling for oil in the gulf. They'll have to deliver your electric car on a truck with a 500HP diesel engine. Where are all these purported "tar balls" of spilled crude oil washing up on FL beaches? To my knowledge it has never happened for the simple reason that ExxonMobil makes zero dollars spilling crude oil into the ocean. They do, however, make boatloads of moola refining crude into usable forms of energy.

@barry34785 An oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana has spread to cover more than 1,800 square miles as of Monday afternoon. The oil spill is coming from a leak in the well that was drilled by the Transocean Deepwater Horizon, a giant offshore drilling rig that exploded and sank last week. The oil spill is reported to be leaking about t 42,000 gallons a day from a well nearly a mile deep. The spilled oil is reaching as far in as 20 miles from the coast of Louisiana.

You bring your ass down here and help clean up the mess you support, wash some seabirds and pick up dead sea turtle and dolphin carcasses. Ill pay $6 a gallon or ride my bike to work.

@DonDiesel84 Nice of you to revisit this video to make comments to me about something I wrote a YEAR ago. Do you really have that much time on your hands? Shouldn't you be a little more curious about why this rig exploded in the first place? Why was it a rig 51 miles offshore and not one say, 100 or more miles out? Why now? We've been drilling there for years and 30 days after Obama says we should drill some more this happens? Could it be an act of eco terror?

I guess it's just fine with you that we continue to enrich America's Enemies so long as you don't have to look at an oil rig on the horizon outside your hotel. I don't know how you could see one if it was more than 30 miles offshore due to the curvature of the Earth.
