@icm65 Now then, dear friend, I can tell you that it is a photo of an unused scene from the filming of the Beatles second feature film 'HELP !'. As you can see it featured comedian Frankie Howerd as 'Sam Ahab', the owner of a theater and / or dance school. The name Sam Ahab is the word Bahamas spelt backward as a joke due to the Beatles having already filmed some of the scenes on location there. This unused footage was shot at Twickenham studios later though where all the indoor scenes were.
I love this album. The whole thing. I love Paul McCartney and love even more the relationship he had with Linda they made some awesome music together.
@jhaley12 "It looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Paige" is a reference to to Denny Laine's double-necked guitar. Paul used to kid Denny about this.
The guy at 1:10 is Mike McGear...Paul's brother, who played in a band called The Scaffold. He didn't want to use the McCartney surname, he wanted to make it on his own.
great music..i saw him in halifax last year.. he's getting older, but so are we all.. he didnt do this tune tho..shame...so much music...so little time....
This album is one of rocks finest....thanks so much for posting a work of art....and yes, RIP James...lumbago, you couldn't be more right....thanks everyone....enjoy...
This is my favorite Wings album. Some much more of a raw sound with some great pop songs....Magneto and Titanium Man, You Gave Me the Answer, Letting Go, Call Me Back Again and of course the title track along with Rock Show. Great album.
I have always thought "Venus and Mars" was such a cool song, and so over-looked by the public and the media. This was really awesome to watch and listen to......sweet.
By the time I discovered the pleasure of music, the Beatles were over, and thus Venus and Mars was a huge LP for me -- twas the reason I picked up a guitar and learned to play, eventually formed a cover band with friends from High School, turning music into participation in the art form, rather than just a spectator. And I thank the MUSES eternally for Paul McCartney and WINGS......PEACE!
@matonmagic You may get your wish. Paul has just digitally remastered Band On The Run with bonus tracks and video clips. Word is that he is interested in doing that with other solo/Wings LP's like Ram and Venus And Mars.
Its a song that evokes for me a pool party at 13. My love for rock and Mc Cartney's both Linda and Paul talent. This is such a classic next to Beethoevn and Mozart.. Thankyou so much for posting.
Thank you for posting this lost gem. You help bring back some happy memories of my childhood. Peace.

Paul is talking about John when he says a good friend of mine follows the stars and Venus and Mars are alright tonight, meaning he and John are ok.

It's a great album still today, very underrated at the time. I still think it is better than Band on the run.

I wish they would actually rerease this album with a live HD DVD. It's too good to be left in annuals of musical history.

There are loads of songs by Macca on old '70s albums people need to know about! 'London Town', 'Warm and Beautiful', 'Dear Boy', etc.
