I dont know about you but i myslef havent seen such Epic scenes in any film, expecially the last ones...they've got the money, got the consepts and all but dont have the spark...probably the directors should play more comp games to see how Pros do it ;)
@RahulUjjal786: There are literally thousands of ways to approach digital paintings – use whatever method you are comfortable with. The amount of tools you can use in Photoshop is almost unlimited…so find your own method and have fun with it. :)
i've seen a lot of your videos and have seen hell lot of other vids of other artists, and i have noticed that you don't use smudge that many to the artist use, even i have started using. i wanna know why don't you. PLEASE DO REPLY :)
no, with the internet these days, you can do almost all your work from remote. I recently finished some projects for Disney (Los Angeles) as well as Ubisoft (France), all from my studio in Singapore.
i usually use 2 or 3 layers. No special settings. But i try to collapse the layers as i work. I only keep hard to delete stuff on layers (such as smoke and the cannon).
@Cruelhazard OK for your screen but I was talking about the size of your file.
For me, my final size is something like 3000 x 2500 at 150 dpi. It's enough to paint. Use 300 dpi only to send your file to print, in a pro way, resize the final to 12 inch at 300 dpi. 300 dpi is the optimal resolution for offset printing. But you, you're working at 600 dpi, it's to much. I work at 600 dpi for a swiss watches magazine you know :D when every single indicator have to be high quality.
Your draw is so damn epic, that i can even hear the music with the screams and grunts...

Do you work with opacity a lot in these? It seems like you're painting with 100% opacity all the time.

@Cruelhazard
it's ok to stay low res to practice. But for industry stuff, a lot of paintings are in high res

What?! 6000 pixels wide? If I do that, my brush gets pixelated. I always work in 800x1200ish

@Cruelhazard
it depends if you work at 150 dpi is no problem.
I start to sketch at 1000, then rise to 2000, etc.
What is your resolution?
rossxxx 1 year ago
@rossxxx
My screen resolution is 1680x1050.
I've been working at like 600dpi and like a 2500 large canvas, but that's just because I'm confused lol.
